Hero is 15/15 and villian is 88/8 over 8 hands. Not sure how I played this one. Should I bet/fold, check/call or check/fold in this situation? Villians range is huge so any bet is essentially a bluff with a few outs if he's calling.

Low bet on the flop as it's not too draw heavy. I'm generally sizing bets on how draw heavy the flop is and where it sits in villains range. Be gentle I'm only back a while after taking years away

Mainly check/folding the turn. You wanna have an actual hand and valuebet it big vs these types of villains

You seem to be afraid of his aggression and from what you say you feel if you check he will bet. I would check raise here if he bets and you will win the hand more than you lose, if he comes back you have to fold. Plus will also make him and other players think twice about floating or bluffing you in other hands. I think you are taking this down 70% of the time making it a profitable play.

8 hands is not enough to say he’s a maniac. Maniacs are usually very aggro, this guy looks like a very loose passive fish.

Your 3 bet is standard. Cbet is ok too because the flop is so dry. Just check fold turn because these players don’t fold. Next time you can probably value town V with tp.

Checking flop myself, not sure what we're folding out that beats us and expecting AQ/KQ to come along is too thin in my book on such a dry board.

Ye good point. Loose passive is Prob better definition. Though it is very few hands.
