Hey everyone, this hand was played on the app PokerBros.

$200 effective with CO, $150 effective with MP. Hero is in the BB.

According to the app, MP currently has a 33-50% VPIP, a <20 PFR, and is running normal. Notes on V: “Just flatted 3-bet with KKs and then back raised AI vs. 4-bet.

CO currently has a 15-32% VPIP, a PFR> 15%, and is down 1-3 buyins.

OTTH

Pre-flop: MP RFI $3. CO calls $3. Folds to Hero in the BB, who just calls with A 2.

Flop ($9.50): Q 10 4. Hero checks. MP checks. CO bets $6.33. Hero calls. MP x/r $19.00. Hero calls.

Turn ($53.80): Q 10 4 9. Hero checks. V checks.

River ($53.80): Q 10 4 9 6. Hero checks. V bets $27. Hero x/r $85.

Thoughts? I got called here, but doesn’t mean I played the hand well haha.

I like the just call pre. It’s good enough to see a flop with and it can be a brutal hand to play OOP as the three bettor.

If villain had QQ exactly your line is good. But I think you should be betting river yourself. 9s drills your drawing range and makes your flop made hand range a lot less sticky, he really shouldn’t have a ton of bet calls given the action. OTOH, sometimes semi-loose, live poker playing fish has a set and he must bet. Then he must call because who’s ever bet folded a river before?

Just bet big on the river yourself. Otf v is repping sets / two pairs and otr the board is so drastically different/bad for these hand classes that you cannot bank on them ever betting such hands esp at 100nl where people don't vbet. Just bet like $40 or sth and don't give him the option of checking behind.

How would you play flushes which contain either a T, J, or K?

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I agree that I should be betting river myself to avoid a x/b from V with sets and 2pears that will probably fold to a x/r. I assume V (who has the pre-flop raiser) had QQs.

What do you guys think about the flop & turn play?

I was more wondering whether he'd be more inclined to bet those on the river rather than check raise them. Obviously no one is check calling the river with a flush.

Lead river

Flop is fine. A x/r isn't that great multiway and we should have enough implied odds to call MP's raise. Turn is standard. I agree that we should lead river.
