About 20 hands into a STT. Villain has been seemingly playing ATC and is involved in almost all pots.

25/50 Blinds

UTG (Villain) : 2850 chips
Big Blind (Me) : 1050 chips

Villain: Limps
Table folds to BB
Hero: Checks with 9J

(125 pot) Flop: T62

Villain: Bets 100
Hero: Calls 100

Should probably fold here and pick a different spot, in hindsight.

(325 pot) Turn: 3

Villain: Bets 150
Hero: ?

I think we need to fold or shove here. If we call, pot is 625, and we're 750 behind, 15 bbs with blinds going to 100 soon. But, risking our tournament life with a 9-high flush draw doesn't seem correct. Even if a diamond comes on the river, we're still not certain we have the best flush. But we know Villain is playing very loose and aggressive, firing on most streets. So a shove could make him fold if he's bluffing.

This is the full ring cash game forum. There's a dedicated STT forum for this kinda stuff.

Good luck trying to get a tournament donk to fold before the river though.

Is Villian the LAG who is aggressive and gungho but backs down when faced with aggression? Or is he is mad, spew-loving player who'll call with a gutshot.

With J9 we block J10 & 910. If V gives up on turns way too much, we can float. If not, easy fold on flop as you reflected.

Versus player #2, there're many better spots you can pick. With J9 versus a blind, ATC range, you only have 33.4% equity. Therefore it is a bad idea.

Versus player #1, it depends if you think he'll fold enough, given you have blockers. That in mind, your hand has poor equity when called.
