Coats seem so hard to pull off, I would really like to wear one but I look ridiculous in them.

Gonna get this one in dark blue, looks awesome with a shirt.

I'm big fan of ToJ leather and varsity stuff but the other jackets seem mehhh, obviously I haven't seen any of those in person.

I'm thinking about buying this http://www.beyondstore.fi/tuote/kr3w...ii-jacket-navy

Anyone have any brand/general shoe suggestions for a 20 yr old college sophomore? Looking for a pair of fresh everyday sneakers and another nicer/classier pair

Superga, Jack Purcell, some Vans models. Clae makes some interesting stuff too that would probably fit your needs both for every day and nice stuff. If you want to go a little dressier still, try Clarks Desert boots in the beeswax color. All of those are around/under $100.

I honestly hate desert boots, and I don't think I've ever seen a piece of Clarks footwear that I've actually found that wasn't ugly in some way.

I got a pair earlier this week and I like them a lot. Maybe it's because the heel/sole make me about an inch taller, making me taller than the average man at last!

They're simple, comfortable, can be worn in a variety of situations and look good with wear, what's not to love?

If Clarks made boat shoes would you buy them?

No, considering I only own one pair atm. Doubt I'm going to deviate from Sperrys atm since I really like the pair I have right.

Does zara make good quality shoes/clothes ? thinking about buying these.

Never heard of Zara but they are $60 so that should tell you all you need to know about quality.

I mean for a student

Well clothes are cheap, but quality sucks

I mean, Henry is just wrong here. $60 for sneakers is a normal price to pay for a pair, even if it is 60 Canadian dollars.

theyre big in europe- i have a few simple things done by them- cant complain at all, quality is generally good. Only thing id be concerned about is the cushioning on those- lot of the high street shops skimp on that

Since I don't wear running type shoes except for actually working out I check Footlocker and Champs and with the exception of sneakers that are 50% off I couldn't find anything under $100.

Being made in India does not mean cheap ass sweatshop. Yes labour is cheaper but the quality of the stuff Prada has coming out of India is not the same as the quality that other people have.

Maybe this is just a Canada thing, but most casual sneakers are under $100. Only when you get into the running type sneakers will you be paying more, probably for the support and whatnot.
11-13-2011 , 09:27 PM
How are they running type shoes ? They are closer to dress shoes.
11-13-2011 , 09:44 PM
yeah those arent running shoes but they are closer to running shoes than dress shoes. they're just an everyday shoe, no specific purpose
