yeah they look pretty nice, and i think it's more reasonable to spend big money on shoes cause they last much longer than a shirt or smthg. but don't you find that over time, your shoes get ruined by other reasons long before the actual quality of the shoe comes into play?

case in point: the shoes i currently wear for clubbing etc. are ralph lauren or calvin klein or kenneth cole new york or smthg like that. they are good quality and have held up very well for like 4 or 5 years. the problem is going out to clubs, people just spill **** on them when you're dancing or smthg, or i'll end up trudging through the mud to bang some girl in the park outside the bar or smthg. in my experience, these sorts of things that would inevitably ruin any shoe are much more common than the sole coming unattached or smthg.

i'm amazed by how few people wear sneakers to go out.

i don't think i've EVER worn shoes to a bar, club or even a nice restaurant (and i've been to a good amount of high end bars, clubs and restaurants). i usually just wear black nike airmax sneakers (or more colorful airmax sneakers depending on where i'm headed).

i do own a few pairs of shoes (a couple alden wingtips and 1 pair of allen edmonds) but they are exclusively worn to work/weddings/etc. not quite john lobbs but not total pieces of crap either.

I pretty much only wear sneakers like you. Sneakers have become far more stylish than they used to be.

I just ordered a new pair of Nike 6.0 Zoom Oncores today. My other pair is 2 years old and still holding up very well. Only $60, too. Best sneakers I've ever owned and surprisingly very comfortable.

Meh, Im not a fan of the white in front, would prefer it to be solid black with just white on the sole.

My friend was wearing these the other day and they are apparently really comfy and good for laidback ****:

He didnt have black tho...

Sanuk is the brand name and they have other styles:

Meh, I don't like the retro look shoes that many people are wearing nowadays, especially Chucks. I'd only get Chucks for the gym as they are great for weightlifting. I guess those are fine, but just don't get regular Chucks.

I think the Sanucks are pretty cool, but a little too young for me. They would be perfect for like senior year HS, first couple years of college. Or at any age if you are a hippie. The ones I posted seem a bit more mature?

Converses are the epitome of young and hip here.

LACE UP!

Look a few posts up. I wear Nike 6.0s too. Looking to get some Nike SB shoes next. Some of those rare ones run like $300-$400. But yes, skate shoes are the nuts (Nike is, other brands have some real childish shoes), and I don't even skate.

I did in middle school but the I realized I sucked. I been wearing them since.
07-01-2011 , 11:09 PM
Seriously, definitely look at Nike SB. I didn't even know this line existed because you honestly can't find it in any mainstream store or on a mainstream website. Check out ebay. Just type in Nike SB. So much selection.

only shoe/sneaker i've worn in the last 15 years are nike air max 95s and the occasional jordans. go great with jeans, shorts, whatever.
07-01-2011 , 11:20 PM
As someone who didn't give a **** about style for a long time, I've got to say Jordans are the nuts. So long as you can put together a decently coordinated outfit, they'll up your game at any party and are great conversation starters with the ladies.

Mine:

Wolf Grey 5

True Blue 3 (the lace job in the pic ruins the tongue, which is sexy)

I don't like high tops. Only would wear them if I were playing basketball.

I'd love to get these next. http://cgi.ebay.com/Nike-Dunk-Low-Pr...#ht_3224wt_905

You'd prob love these:

Both good choices for a Bulls fan.

I've been vacillating on whether or not I want to buy some nds "old love" 1s for a while. They are basically the original colorway 1s, but the rarer black toe versions. Came out recently, so they'll still be in good condition.

The flat black/reds are a bit too strong for me.

As for the high tops, it's a bit annoying, as I only wear ankle socks, so I have to put a band-aid on the back of my ankles every time I wear them so I don't get chafed. Still love them though. Got them for $150 new, my friend wants to buy them for $200. I might have to go for that and put the money towards the old loves.
07-01-2011 , 11:48 PM
i've owned IIIs, IVs and Vs (not in these colors)

problem i have with jordans is that they are too bulky for my jeans sometimes. i almost exclusively wear jordans with shorts and air max 95s with jeans.
07-01-2011 , 11:49 PM
The lows ate the back of my ankles when I first started wearing them. Now I guess my skin is used to it and adjusted. I just got a new pair last week and didn't have any issues.

I just don't really like the look of the high tops. Much rather have a low cut shoe like any shoe that isn't a boot. High tops are like boots.
07-01-2011 , 11:51 PM
There aren't any 4s coming out this year Just got started with Jordans really (considering both of mine came out in the last month and a half), so I've only had a chance to snag what's come out recently. But I really like the 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 11, while I might be tempted to get anything 1-14 except for 2s. The 2011s are alright too, not great though.
