Those shoes *drools* but where is your angle socks?

happily confirming that Langer & Messmer Shoes are awesome. Good three pairs by now, and love them.
One thing to know is that they size big. Spurious gave me a heads up before I ordered, and I got 42.5 instead of my usual 43.5/44, and they suit really well. I think it is the same for him.

And very nice shoes custer, but those socks..

Not really understanding the hate for the socks. They are just socks. Is it because they are white? White dress socks are bauss.

Maybe it is else on the other side of the pound, but I would never wear white socks outside of the gym/a sport facility.
They look like nice quality/fabric socks, except from very close it makes no difference and does make you look like an engineer :-). I'd wear pink socks any time over white socks.

to me, they just dont fit, wearing chinos and ae players and then those socks, look like they're super casual and to be worn with trainers/t-shirt instead
02-16-2014 , 06:28 PM
They are dress socks so......Its not like they are just purely white either. Obviously wouldn't wear just plain white socks.

Hello everyone !

I'll have to wear suits on a daily basis for my job.

I already have a blue marine suit http://www.lhommeaumasculin.com/wp-c...re-et-fils.jpg

and I'm planning on buying this one http://www.asos.fr/ASOS-Skinny-Fit-S...1&clr=Charcoal

Any idea for the next color / next suit ? (maybe on this website, apparently the quality for the price is decent)

"Problem" is, right now I have cheap black dressed shoes.

What brand/pair of shoes do you recommend ? (to wear with suits, and well-matched with the color I have (and will have) )

I'd like to spend < 300 € on the shoes.

Thanks

Meermin, Loake and Langer & Messmer are my recommendations.

Thanks, going to order 44 instead of 44.5/45.

Do you also happen to know how Meermin sizes in comparison with Loake or L&M?

Styleforum should be able to help you out on this one.

looking at that AE sale with the 20% off, ends today

any thoughts on the Port Washington boat shoes in tan grain?:

http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline...0000000001_-1_

Also looking at the Sanford Cap Toe Oxford, how rare is it to get these in the $180 range?

Thanks!

I'm a boat shoe hater but I like those Ports a lot. May have purchased if they had my size.

For a goodyear welted, fully lined AE shoe, that's about as low as it's going to get.

i'm not opposed to some outside-the-box sock color combos, but the ones you just posted are either flamingly gay or just plain ugly. i like the shoes though

Looks like I succeeded then.

I have 1 nacy peacoat. What kind would be a good second one? I remember Spurious advocating the second should be in charcoal.
02-26-2014 , 01:02 PM
I wouldnt buy a second peacoat, I would go with a regular coat.
02-26-2014 , 01:07 PM
Think charcoal/mid/dark-grey is the best choice or smthing else - we are coming up to spring/summer..
