Usually shoes with a rubber sole.
It's not terrible for the shoes but should be avoided.

I use Burgol leather sole Oil to make my leather sole shoes more robust in rainy weather.

Thanks. Looks like a lot of extra costs with regards to shoes. I also need to buy a lot of suitable shoe trees. Any website you would recommend?

Also, Spurious, do you happen to have a picture of your shoe collection? I'm very curious.

You need to buy a lot shoe polish, creme and stuff in the beginning but it will last forever.

Since you live in NL, Langer & Messmer is a great source for both shoes and shoe trees.
A lot of my shoes are from there, they sell most of their shoes including shoe trees.

I dont have a picture of my collection, I will be moving soon and might have a proper shoe cabinet in a while.

I only own 12 pair of goodyear welted shoes, so nothing in comparison to some people on SF (although quite excessive for a student).

I cant imagine bespoke shoes being worth the price you pay for them unless you have some seriously unique feet.

I agree, but you don't really buy a pair of John Lobb bespoke shoes for the minimal added comfort/value (pretty much like any top top range product).

I assume you mean billowing, and yes, buy better fitting shirts, or get your shirt tailored. You could also try the military tuck.

If you mean sweaters pilling then its a matter of quality and care.

You have to show pictures. Probably excess fabric you need to get rid of, but how to get rid of it depends on where it comes from.

this means you bought a shirt that's too big. just get it tailored.

Sweaters from BB came today. The fit was semi surprising. Fit was great in terms of width, the sleeves are the only thing noticeably incorrect. They are probably an inch longer then I would prefer. This might change, may not, not the end of the world, especially if i layer(nothing underneath in pic).

Shoulder seem is off a smidgen too. Will def keep them as they are great for the price.

Not really my style but the fit definitely looks good. Will be ideal wrt the sleeves with a shirt underneath IMO.

Sleeves will still be too long with layering IMO. That's a lot of bunching on your wrist.

The fit is better than I expected from BB, but still a tad baggy for me, though I'll be the first to admit I like clothes more form fitting than most

I think it's fine for the price, the sleeves are definitely off, maybe after shrinkage it will fit properly.

Too big for my taste. Just doesn't show off your figure at all. If that's a large, I think a medium would have been better. I like my **** tight. This is a J. Crew medium slim just for comparison. I'm 6'1'' 170lbs 40'' chest 32'' waist.

not even the same style sweater fwiw. Cardigans are def meant to be more form fitting.

I agree it could bebetter in fit, but comparing a crew cable to a cardigan to compare fit is a little silly.

I wear v-neck sweaters with deep v tees under them occasionally. Haters gonna hate probably. Usually I'll wear some sort of button down.

why not just weat the v-neck by itself? V-neck sweater with crew neck t-shirt or a shirt is much better imo.

Well, you can't see the deep v under it. Plus, I clean my sweaters in my own dryer, so it's better if I wear it with something under it. I think a crew neck t-shirt under a v-neck sweater looks terrible. Really any t-shirt that shows above a V-neck sweater is terrible.
