Ah. Not for me.

So while I'm waiting for Meermin to confirm my order I might as well try Loake in the meantime.

I think this shoe in brown is nice. Thoughts?

Watches make you look more mature/sophisticated than most guys so that could be what henry was trying to say. I would say wearing one is +ev with girls as long as it suits you. But obviously the more expensive it is the better.

I prefer wingtips in suede or boots, not a big fan of them for regular leather.
I own the Loake Strands and like them, might be an alternative for you.

great comparison of "designer" shirts vs cheap ones like hanes.

prada_lol

Prada is a leather goods maker; it was founded as such, and should be recognized as such. I don't get why people would buy anything but leather from them. It's like going to a furrier to buy jeans just because they sell them or going to a car dealership to eat their food. It's baffling.

lol its not at all, clothes brand = clothes. The majority of people dont know how a clothes brand started or what there specialty is.

People just see the brand.

Hey guys,

Haven't posted in here before but just looking for some thoughts on neck ties. I have my first attorney-law student mentor programs coming up this semester and everyone has given out some different advice about which neck tie knot to use.

Like for example, should I just stick with the standard tie or do the double Windsor , etc. I felt like this wouldn't be a big issue at all, but after speaking with some classmates and such, everyone tends to feel like one knot is better than the other.

Sorry if this has been posted before/discussed or if this is just such a lolwat style question, but if anyone has any thoughts about which one to use, I'd appreciate the advice.

Edit: If I didn't make it clear above, this is a professional meeting with full suit attire obv.

Can you recommend me a good leather bag with decent room for my laptop, folder, etc.?

I picked this one up a few months ago. They have a few different colors/finishes, and also a smaller one that can fit up to a 13 inch laptop. This one can fit a 15 inch. It's very similar to the bag seen on "Suits" (the tv show).

Only downside is that there were several reviews that mentioned the leather dye staining light colored clothes. To combat this, I bought a $4 bottle of Fiebrings bag kote to seal it. The bag was fairly cheap for the quality, so I didn't mind the inconvenience.

That's weird, I had the same model before I lost it. I'm looking for something slightly bigger though, any other recommendations?

people need to stop asking for **** without putting their price range. IMO

My first 'good' shoes. Very happy with how they look in real life.

I'm completely clueless when it comes to shoecare. I live in a very rainy country. Basically what's the best shoe routine? Is there anything I should do before I wear them outside for the first time?

(pants will be shortened soon)

First things first, all oxfords should be straight laced. As far as care goes, the most important thing is to not wear them too often and to use shoe trees. Get some cream polish and a horse hair brush and shine them up every couple months.

Ah, thanks. Good one.

Are there 5 lace holes?

Here's a site which shows a bunch of different patterns. If it's an even number of holes, it's easier and I would use straight bar.
