Has anyone here bought cashmere from UNIQLO?

Bout to step up my cashmere game a little, already got two cable knits picked out, Uniqlo has great prices on there cashmere but only 1 review. Prob gonna get 2, anyway just because I trust them and everything else form the has been great, but if people have had horrible experience might go another route.

Henry mentioned a while ago that he can dress any non-overweight male so that women will approach him. Can we get a discussion going on about this? (Henry could you give us some pointers?)

Some general guidelines

Cloths that fitted well, tailored if possible
Cloths that make you look like an adult and are successful
No Graphic T's, Sneakers ect...

Those are pretty obvious. I thought Henry had some more detailed things in mind?

I don't remember anything groundbreaking he said, but I can't imagine it's much more than:

Nice shoes (AEs are a good starting point)
Slacks or chinos
Dress shirt
Sport coat/sweater over shirt if appropriate
Nice watch (50mm bezeled out doesn't count)

Clothes should be tailored/bespoke and all colors should coordinate. Shoes, belt and watch don't have to match perfectly but they should go together.

Sounds good.

Are there any important articles on colors or should I just trust my sense of matching them?

What you are going for does not exist.
It takes more than just clothing, clothing just goes with the rest.

Anyways, what's your budget?

Brand is Ballys, made in Italy blue leather jacket. Picked it up on ebay tonight for $120.

It will be nice for cruising around on my motorcycle but still can hit a movie with it.

What do you guys think?

Neither > 1st pair >>> 2nd pair.

Around €5000.

Custer,

Not a fan of either. If going for that style I like the Wolverine 1000s a lot more.

Bubonic,

I like it. Pretty unique color.

Ok, now we are talking.

What's the style of clothing you go for? Ideally figure that out before starting to purchase.
You will inevitably make stupid purchases, but keeping them to a minimum is obviously best.

I think this is the first time I posted something and someone didn't hate the article of clothing.

Well done.

There is light on the horizon.

12-08-2013 , 06:10 AM

12-08-2013 , 06:17 AM
Not a fan of the belt stitches and not sure about the shoes, but overall it's put together nicely, well done.

I'm looking into the 'smart casual' style (I know a lot of people hate that term). Pretty much the kind of style that would be praised in this SF thread: http://www.styleforum.net/t/309586/w...d-taste-thread
