H&M clothing looks ok the first time you wear it but that is about it. It is horrible quality.

This.

i bought chinos from them and after one wash it lost its colour and shape.

Delicate wash and air dry them, even then the collar and sleeves are going to lose shape

Don't forget to pop the collar. In other words, you'd look pretty damn douchey wearing one.

I dnt pop the collar... Ever, that is douchey imo but wats wrong with rl polos?
04-01-2012 , 11:44 PM
Fitting username

The ones with the giant horse are horrible.

If you have to buy RL polos at least get the ones with the small logo. There are better options in a similar or even cheaper price range as well.

Even worse. $200 for a polo? No, thank you.
04-02-2012 , 12:14 AM
Meh i guess wanting to come off slightly balla is douchey too iyo?
04-02-2012 , 12:21 AM
For that kind of money you can get really nice polos. If you're set on Ralph Lauren at least do yourself the favor of buying the custom fit polos.
04-02-2012 , 12:31 AM
i mean if you are going to drop 200 $ on a polo...ralph lauren would not be it...I also didnt know ralph lauren was that big in terms of name recognition across the pond, thought it was a US thing.
04-02-2012 , 01:19 AM
Meh i only knw 1 person who wears it nd thts cos of a size thing. Not sure how recognised it is in the uk, i notice it but dnt rly knw if every1 else does.

Wat other brands wud u recommend?

I started off wearing Polo before moving on to better clothing but despite my fondness for the Polo brand I hate the large horse logo. It is beyond tacky. Proper designer clothing should have minimal logos and preferably none.

spending £125 on a ralph lauren polo seems absurd to me, if you go to the west end, you can get deals for authentic ralph polos, like 2 for £80 or something like that.
04-02-2012 , 11:02 AM
lol @ ppl spending that much money on polos.

I bought the standard polo with a small pony for 30$ in an official polo ralph lauren factory store in Miami (Dolphins Mall). On their website most of them are 80-100$ and some 100$+ but not many...

I would bet they are either fake or the lower quality versions that companies put out for their discount stores.

I could start listing what I pay for clothing and it would make that purchase seem like lol cheap.

Factory outlet stores sell cheaper versions of the same product. It looks the same but the quality is much lower. Originally outlet stores started as a way for retailers to sell stuff out of season that did not sell in their normal stores but for at least a decade now brands have been making items specifically for the outlet stores which are much lower quality than their normal. It is a stupid way to do business and kills the value in the brand.

i spend a ton of money on clothes too but on stuff thats actually worth it, like suits and shoes. $200 for a polo is just a waste.
04-02-2012 , 01:46 PM
but its big pony ralph lauren guys!!

i couldn't disagree more with designer clothes having minimal logos/none, mainly because anyone who is buying expensive clothing isnt doing it purely for the quality... having people know what your wearing is a big part imo...
