Lol

I also have a 14 year old so I am already whipping him into shape. We are talking about a lot of the same concepts.

lol old people

At least it finally explains to me what might have caused him to even open a thread like this to begin with.

that or i just like onetax

its really easy to convey the same message as "thats awful" without actually coming off harsh and abrupt. Just say something like you said or liek "I strong disagree with this line"..fwiw when it comes to dating there rarely is a absolute right and absolute wrong so saying"Thats awful" is usually pretty afwul imo(lawls irony ensues)

CCuster, making people nicer when insulting, one person at a time.

on a scale of 1-10 in how i expected her to respond, this woulda been around 2. weird.

as far as the onetax line for my situation, while i think i could probably pull that off i dont think that fits my situation. though i am the kind of person to meet a group for the first time and when an awkward silence comes up just say "well this is an awkward moment" or something like that haha.

like karak said, everytime im talking to him about her he is like slam dunk, idk wtf my problem is in thinking otherwise apparently. for example: last night around 1:30-2 am she was apparently driving to dulles aiport to pick up a friend. she lives about an hour and 15 away from me. anyway she notices signs for "Westfield" and remembers that is the HS she went to. she texts me saying she thinks she is close to my house on the way to the airport (i live about 15 minutes away from the airport). im like yeah you must be on route 28 which means you drove right past the road that goes to my house. she says yeah i guess i am on that road lol. i reply well you are going to have to pass the road again to get back to I-66 (all via text).

i figured i would get a response from that but i didnt. i was still up watching movie and at 4:15 she texts me along the lines of hey sorry i just got service back. i woulda stopped by but we took a backwards route home, i shoulda asked you for directions. i said thanks for the 4 am text letting me know that lol. she said jesus youre still up? i told her how my allergies have been acting up and i have been sneezing constantly and cant sleep. she jokes that i must be allergic to the dallas cowboys paraphernalia i have all over my room. i make some joke about being allergic to december just like the team is (lol) and ask how the drive was. she told me how she got lost trying to find gas in herndon and called [mutual herndon friend] for directions. i commented how when i tried to explain to [M.H.F] how to get to my house he couldnt even though its like 5 turns, i dont think he is good with directions. she says yeah i shoulda asked you, im gonna try to get some sleep, good luck with sneezing.

i guess that fact that she felt it necessary to text me saying why she didnt stop by at 4 am (2 hours later) is a good sign.

wow this post got long for no reason. oh well at least it can distract you people from studying for awhile.

hahahahahah oh man i remember that. fkn redhead. talk about each update being more painful than the last.

lol saw the chick on my way into the LS and she was heading out. she was definitely going somewhere with a bunch of her gfs, so no big deal.
12-16-2009 , 08:10 PM
It's rather strange that she felt the need to lie about her plans for the evening, isn't it?

she's prob going back with them or they juts all left together and had previous plans to do so and she didnt want to be awk and tell them where/why she was leaving

either way it really doesnt matter. i just thought it was lol-worthy. im not going to sit here and overanalyze everything she did/said/texted/appeared to be doing (HINT HINT)
12-16-2009 , 08:17 PM
Yeah thanks for that.
12-16-2009 , 08:21 PM
i mean only tough love
12-16-2009 , 08:36 PM
At some point it becomes piling on, since I've had the exact same thing said to me a number of times now.

I get it. I envy your ability to not care. We're also posting in this thread largely for the sake of analyzing and strategizing situations on both a macro and a micro level, if I'm not mistaken about that.
12-16-2009 , 08:53 PM
obv but you need to find a balance, and that is something that you can only learn with practice

plus the girl in your scenario sounds like she's flighty anyways. consider it might not be all YOUR fault.
12-16-2009 , 09:06 PM
Honestly she's a pretty classic girl from the standpoint that I get a far warmer response from her when I leave her alone and don't contact her. Unfortunately every time I go on the offensive, she becomes aloof and disinterested.

I sure love what a rookie my situation has made me sound like. I've got people thinking I'm Mikey from Swingers.

Anyway, I'll update the thread if anything worthwhile happens.

Until then...

enough with sushi, people. im fairly confident that no one even likes sushi, they just like the idea of "going out for sushi". like its this status symbol that people use to try to look better than everyone else who goes to mcdonalds. "hey man, wanna get food?" "naw, i think im just gonna go grab some sushi". ughhhhh enough already.

Unless you are exceptionally rugged and handsome (think Brett Favre) and/or rich, I think I could pull it out.
