I have been effectively using comments about masturbation and my penis to steer conversation away from anything resembling normal discussion to conversations that I want to have when drunk.
i know a friend with same tactic

Normally I don't get as much amusement from drunk Karak as others do, but last night's shenanigans are pretty damn funny to read this morning.

+1

Karak, should I feel special for knowing what all your fly honeyz look like? Or did I just catch you at the right drunken moment on AIM?

Vintage Tell me they are at least worthy of all the posts about them..

They are def. respectable. Karak and I have like... 85% of the same taste in women, but the 15% that's different is WAY different. As a result, his preferences are a little different than mine.

I'd still bang 'em though, since he won't.

Taking FTP robe girl tailgating + to the game tomorrow afternoon. Should be a fun time, trying to make some progress with her.

Pics MAYBE (not promising) unless too much ice cream (see - booze) gets consumed.

Ice cream means booze, bananas means weed...I don't even know WTF is going on in the world anymore.

I heard "ice cream" as far back as 2004 fwiw.

"bananas" still somewhat new to me, but it makes me laugh.

in HS we used "butter" instead of bananas and "jelly" instead of booze. too many kids were idiots and got caught via aimlogs.

best part was our indoor team getting a bunch of jerseys printed up saying "Butter and Jelly All Stars" and all the parents thinking they were sooo clever for figuring out it meant BJ. rofl

zz that's so awesome

I never knew bananas meant weed..

My name keeps on taking new directions.

anybody in here ever have a positive experience with an LDR? I know that they're pretty stupid and whatever, but I'm not about to break it off with this girl solely because i'm moving away in a few days, and I don't think she wants that either. We're at least going to test it out, but if anyone has anything reasonable to contribute that isn't "LDR's suck don't do it" that would be neat.

Just to be 100% realistic with you, every couple heading into a LDR thinks that they are the minority "special relationship" that can make it. Most are wrong.

They can definitely work if you both trust each other, as in, they can be fulfilling and last as long as you want them to. In my experience the main problem with long distance relationships is that you miss out on everything that you would get from a relationship with someone closer or from just plowing randoms close by.

If this girl means so much more to than any other could that you're willing to give up regular sex and intimacy then go for it. Probability suggests she's not, but it can definitely work (if you both trust each other) if you want it to.

i mean i know you're exaggerating when you say EVERY couple that...., but I do agree with you entirely. that said, we haven't said anything about being in a special spot or anything. we simply don't have any desire to break it off at this point simply because there's a 3 hour drive in between us. at this point, I want it to work out, and so does she, and these things can obviously change given the low success rate of LDR's.

sigh i don't even know what i'm asking.

You guys have been seeing each other for 1 month right?

1) I wasn't exaggerating
2) It's not really something you usually "talk" about. You justboth think you're gonna make it. Realistically, that's just not likely.

yeah about that, but we've known each other for a long time and this has progressed faster than any other relationship I've ever been a part of, and she's said the same.

3 hours doesnt seem that terrible. Would it be a reasonable expectation that you two could be together every other weekend? Hell you two could even actually study during the week instead of ****ing like rabbits.

I mean there is LDR and then there is LDR. Plane flight apart is different than 3 hour drive.

I would only do it if she was well out of my league and I knew I couldn't do any better. Or you can hedge and see if something develops w another girl that you like more (without doing anything sexual w new girl) but that's kinda unethical and I'd feel a bit guilty.
09-03-2010 , 02:55 PM
liking the use of "hedge" in this situation. nh

I don't have a car, she's done school and has a somewhat demanding mon-fri 8-5 job. I mean it's not inconceivable that we could spend some amount of time together during the year (which we actually sort of already have planned), though every other weekend seems a bit unlikely. She's not really the type to just put 2 weekends a month on the backburner given some of the extracurricular stuff she has going on (big family including an upcoming wedding, she sings for a bunch of people, etc., just generally pretty busy, as I'm sure I'll be as well). Obviously the easy part is when we're together for that 2-3 days or w/e.
