I was dancing with my girl friends (hot female friends ftw) for a while and our eyes met briefly. I said something about her being cute to one of my friends and she replied "when she goes to the bar go talk to her or I'm going to smack you."

So when she went over to the bar next I left a few seconds later and started with the patented "hi how's your night going?" Then I told her I was going to get smacked if she didn't dance with me so we went back and danced. We danced/talked for a couple hours then I left with my group.

I'm now rethinking my first year policy.

Also my primary goal last night was getting a new guy friend of mine to hook up with one of my good looking female wingmen. But once that was accomplished I needed something else to do.

Anyways the night was still a success because I feel 100x better about future cold approaches than I did 2 days ago.

i pussed out on another potential opportunity to go out with a girl tonight (after finishing my studying) because i didnt feel like it and was too tired (this is what i told myself in my and it's actually true). i just didnt feel like putting forth the mental effort to hold conversation and appear interesting and all that. all i wanted to do was go home and stare at a wall and drink beer alone without having to exert any type of advanced thought process (trying to be conversational with a girl with attraction incentives is waaaay too freaking taxing atm), which is what im doing right now.

it seems like such a **** time to start anything, but i think the use of "hey do you want a break from studying?" or w/e works out well and this is really the only time that works.

Bit of a TR from last night. nothing really special, but I want to contribute to this thread.

Went out last night with my brother. We played some pool at the bar, had a few drinks and scoped out the potential girls. We live in a small town so the potential for quality girls is minus 3. (we knew this before hand and most went out to drink and play pool.)

After last call and things start to die down everyone goes outside to smokes/makes plans/whatever. I was standing their and some girl that remembered me from when I was in high school briefly in that town (7-8 years ago.) comes up to me, "Are you _____?" "yeah? do I know you?" "I'm ____, we were in the same grade, blah blah blah." I slightly remembered her name, but I really had no clue who the hell she was.

At this point she looks like she might be a potential DTF. She wasn't a looker, It would have been the type of thing where I would never want to see her again and would be out the door 5 minutes after I was done. I talk with her a bit and ask her where shes going. she says wherever her friends are going. At that point I heard our neighbor say something about a fire on the beach, which would be between his place and our place so I rallied for that.

We head down there, My brother, the chick, her friend and I walk and our neighbor takes a cab with two other chicks and we decide to meet down there. along the way I learn she just had a kid 11 months ago. (ew) and has a "boyfriend". This doesn't really change my opinion that she still wants to get fecked. Her friend was also married, but was a bigger slut than her, it was very obvious she was more eager to get nailed.

So we get down to the beach. when we get there we find out the two chicks in the cab decided to go home, IE, one chick was really drunk and her friend decided to cockblock and tell her they need to go home. kinda a beat cause those two girls were both better looking. Anyways, so we start a fire, stay out there for 10 minutes and then decide that it's to cold so we go into our neighbors place. he's got a bunch of records and is a pretty good DJ, so we get some tunes going, we're chatting up the girls, drinking and so on. about mid way through the chick that new me kinda flaked out and got pissy because we didn't want to through on her ****ty music picks. The attention basically changed to the three of us guys talking to the married chick while the flake sat in the corner looking at the albums obviously mad.

I was talking with the married girl and I could tell that she was trying to get her friend to stop sitting alone and cheer up because she wanted to party but didn't want to leave her friend/ do something unless her friend was getting some too. Anyways, I'm on one side of the room talking to my brother, the two chicks are on the other side talking and our neighbor was on turntables when all of a sudden he shuts off the loud music abruptly mid song and all you hear is the married chick is talking about wanting to suck some dick. I thought this was hilarious.

So after that things start to wind down and the girls decided that they are going to go walk home. At this point it was a choice between trying to get some or continue to drink free booze. Booze won. We drank for another 30 minutes then went home and passed out.

Last night update--

I hit the bars again last night because I was excited to keep getting better at cold approaches. I'm down on the dance floor with one of my female wingmen (a winghoe as we call them) having a good time when I see a familiar face out of the corner of my eye.

It's not the ginger. It's a girl I see at the gym like 5 days a week and we say hi to each other all the time but we've never actually talked. Right now she's decently hot (about 15lbs extra) but give her 3 months more at the gym and she will be freaking ridiculous.

We start talking, dance for a while, things go great. She didn't seem like the hookup type and I see her all the time so I just went with a number exchange and that was that. Plus we actually had a really good convo so that was more natural anyway.

IM picks up another freshman and doesn't hook up with her. She's a little hot now but a few months from now will be ridiculous.

LOl at not wanting to hook up with freshies they are the easiest...especially the first couple weeks of fall semester its like picking apples...Sometimes working is voerrated

so i might just have luckboxed into a date with a girl i know but it is a weird situation. she went to my school freshman year but decided to transfer to a school in holland (where she is originally from) this year and i have mostly talked to her online since then. she is really hot but we both had really busy/conflicting schedules last year so we didn't get to hang out much and when we did it was usually with at least one other person.

so i talked to her recently and she told me she is coming to LA for the winter break. i am not 100% sure what her interest is or if she will end up inviting other people to hang out with us but so far the details are pretty promising. some excerpts:

her: i will be there dec 26 until prob jan 3
then jan 7 - 10th

me: one actually really is, it is this tiny japanese place that is in a residential area but is amazing

it was better than the japanese restaurant in the bellagio that is was at least 3x as expensive

there is actually apparently a really cool restaurant in the bellagio now called Picasso, there are supposedly $35 million in Picasso originals in the place

another interesting aspect is that, though she will be leaving a few days after that, i am trying to go to Paris for the summer and i know she used to live in France so it will be very likely that if i do that i will see her over the summer. any opinion on the right way to go about this situation where i don't really know where i stand? should i just go with the intent to have fun with her and no other expectations then see what happens over the summer?
