edit: sit by brosef, and try to keep her away from you. if she is anywhere near competent she will realize that. I was in pursuit of a girl and she made it impossible to sit by her at the theater and then later that night she pulled an LKJ girl and refused to sit by me on couch. Then a week later my mutual friend is like, "hey I talked to girl and she doesn't want a BF right now." I'm like ****dlfakjsdlfkdjsaflasjflsajflas why did you talk to her FML I already knew she wasn't interested she made that very clear with body language and you went and had "the talk."
if any of this was even remotely necessary, then i wouldn't be inviting her. that's a complete overreaction and nothing i will be doing.

i don't agree with the ppl saying you should talk to her before or try and sit away from her or anything. go out and flirt or whatever. if you don't want to hook up with her now that's fine but there's nothing wrong with flirting and you never know when your B, or whoever, is going to send you on lifetilt and you're going to be glad to have this girl around to hookup with.

unless you already hit the age where revenge sexing someone who is not involved in the situation at all is below you. in that case gtfo the thread cuz you're to mature for me

What on earth? You were okay with calling me emokid?

(Yes, I realize the irony of stepping in to take umbrage to that, but it just confused me.)

i just made the "not fooling around comment" because u said U didnt have any intentions of hooking up with her. If so u should still make the comment becasue she is a 19 year old girl that is into you and it will make you more interesting and it's a statement that's easy to back out of just dont make it to serious...

U are seeing her and she won't be put off that easily if she enjoys the company! agree on the physical isolation though

I wonder if this is always true? I mean, I think sometimes they'll just find what they are missing in their long term relationship (im talking in general here cause a 19 year old with a ltr is LOL) and that is nice and all and they'll enjoy the moment but is it always the beginning of the end? Maybe sometimes there's more for them to consider? Like stability in life and comfort with a situatioon. Once someone gets settled the grass is obv always greener on the other side. Dunno if that automatically means she is doing it to break up her current relationship.

its none of your business either way. if a girl wants to cheat on her boyfriend with me, (assuming im not friends with the boyfriend) then I have no problem doing it. If she doesnt cheat with me she will just cheat with someone else.

I'm sure its happened before that a girl has cheated, no one found out, she realized (a) it isnt greener and went back to her bf or (b) she was emotionally satisfied and went back to her bf only to cheat in a year down the line when she gets dissatisfied again.

I don`t necessarily think that the majority of the time girls are cheating to break up; they are cheating cause they are emotionally/physically dissatisfied with the relationship they are in, and whether its a means to an end or simply a way to feel better, its tough to say case by case.

I would lean towards the cheating to get out of a relationship side though.

Wait, so Karak is now friend-zoning a girl who's clearly interested in him? Sounds like he needs to give her the LJBF talk so this can come full circle.
03-08-2010 , 01:50 AM
I have no ability to friend zone girls. Like I can be friends with girls, I can be platonic friends with girls I'm attracted to, but every time there is a girl who wants to bangificate me and I don't want to I end up having to creepily avoid the girl or be enough of a dick so the girl will leave me alone. I dunno how to start the LJBF talk, I guess. I don't think Karak is doing it right, though, because he's kinda doing it like a girl would(tell the girl he's not interested via text, still go to the movie).

There's got to be a better way. Because if the situation was reversed, and there was a girl who hooked up with you and then you asked her to a movie and she said, "LOL I don't want to hook up again, but I'll totally go to the movie with you and I'm bringing my friend Sally" you'd be all and probably ask some dudes who play poker on the internet what the deal is.
03-08-2010 , 01:55 AM
Speaking of, I got the "we're friends" talk from a girl I hooked up with a few times(like we met, hooked up a few times, then kinda a halfassed LJBF). That seriously violates my understanding of how the friend zone works. I'm kinda interested, academically, in trying to unfriendzone this one just for the data points.
