I once had a co-worker who said that his wife legitimately liked football a lot, and her team was the Raiders. However, she wouldn't watch Raider games because she thought it was bad luck if she watched her own team play. So she would only watch games that involved other teams. She also demanded that her husband not watch if the Raiders were on either.

These people exist.

By the way, would it kill a really smart guy like Diablo to cease being disingenuous when he argues? I enjoy the insight that he brings to the table, but his style of argumentation really amounts to a bunch of parlor tricks.

skipping my final presentation today. no sleep combined with having not done the visual for the presentation yet. plus my speech is short which will lead to a long Q&A afterwards by the teacher that i can't see ending well for me.

so i guess i'm done with my first semester. biggest regrets being what will be my overall grades and the fact i never sacked up and asked for this girl's phone #.

it's irresponsible but i wouldn't say ******ed. me getting a C instead of a B is worth not looking like a ****** for 10minutes and the anxiety that would come before, imo. the presentation is just a part of the overall final. i'm assuming it has the capability of making my B turn to a C but there's an off chance she keeps no record of who presents.

my last presentation was a group project and we ran out of time and my group was to present the next class period. next class she never mentioned it and when grades came back the presentation played no part in the grade. so maybe i'll luckbox into that again. if not ohwell.

I would have done the same especially being unprepared which would have caused a bunch of anxiety as you said
