DD, how do you know the bride? How much are you looking to spend? Do you still hang out with the bride today?
If you want to go the booze route, two ideas are:
1) A nice bottle of champagne and glasses. In the card, you can promise to "refill" the bottle on their 10th anniversary.
2) Some themed present: e.g., for a margarita present, I'd buy a mid-range bottle of tequila and some margarita mix, 6 glasses, rim salts, and maybe like a nice chip/dip set (or pieces to make one). Then I'd package it up in a large wicker basket (world market and homegoods are my go-to's for cheap wicker), wrapping it in cellophane and a ribbon. (igos?)
Alternately, honeymoon presents are increasingly popular. If you know where they're going, you can buy them a dinner or an activity somewhere (e.g., we just gave some friends of ours a culinary tour of Charleston, SC).
