I think Carlo was referring to the summer series . Anyhow, the Milwaukee schedule is out and that event is a week before Vegas, so I would expect that to come out within a week or so. Of course, the circuit event scheduling has not been exactly reliable from a release standpoint, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Would be nice to see this schedule, especially since it's in Feb & Venetian schedule is already out.

For some reason, the online link is incomplete as of right now... Here's the pdf

http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/schedules/schedule_1409.pdf

In any case, it looks like the WSOP is back to their un rec-friendly schedule for the Main Event (sigh).

Txs for link. Ya I agree, also Monster stack on Fri is not ideal, be better on Wed or Thurs.

I think the MS on Friday is why the ME starts Sat instead of Friday. They think people will play both. If last February’s results show anything, it’s that they are mistaken. I remember doing a calculation and they lost quite a bit of money with this sort of schedule compared to the previous year.

Where do they setup/play the circuit event at the Rio?

Well last year it was unfortunately on the casino floor, spread out in a couple different areas, it was not ideal. Hoping they use the wsop area this year, but have no idea if that's the plan. Anyone have any insight?

Tyler was quoted by Kevmath as having "the configuration of the 40 tables up soon" so assume he is in charge of WSOPC set up.

Right there with you! Coming in hot Friday morning for the MS. Or maybe Thu and catch DSO at the Brooklyn Bowl? Decisions, decisions.

Got a cheap room Monday - Thursday at the Gold Coast so I can't resist a few days in Vegas for a low budget solo gambling trip. $32 base rate per night, approx. $225 with resort fees and taxes for 4 nights. So cheap by modern Vegas standards. Yea, I know Gold Coast isn't luxurious, but it works well for me. Walk across the street to Rio for tourney, free shuttle to Orleans for cash games or to Strip. Good Chinese food and Full pay 9/6 Jacks or Better video poker.

I'm playing the $250 Seniors tourney on Tues. 2/20. I enjoyed playing the Geezer tourney in November at Planet Hollywood, and made a small cash. It's fun to play poker with the old folks (I'm 54 - seems weird to be a "senior"). People are having conversation, cracking jokes, and there aren't many douchebags wearing shades and headphones, acting smug like they are poker's next great thing. It also tends to be an easier field, which probably makes up for the less favorable structure and higher percentage fees compared to the $365 events. Plus it's over in 1 day. Good luck to me!

Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) on Thursday 2/22 at the Brooklyn Bowl is worth the effort. I'm not usually into tribute bands, but I'm a long time deadhead, and DSO always plays a great show. I'll be there, enjoying the kind!

There just so happens to be another Senior event on 2/19 if you were looking to play back to back events Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the info. I won't arrive in town early enough to play in the Wynn tourney on 2/19.

Too bad the the Wynn $360 rather then $500 senior event wasn't that day. I would of considered sincerely making the trip for the two back to back events. On limited funds.

Playing on the Rio casino floor 10 handed in a cloud of smoke v. playing the comparable $400 events which are 9 handed at the Wynn starting on 2/19 there is really no comparison,

Wynn for the win!

Thanks for the heads up. I also noted the Rio senior event is unlimited re entry. These kind of events are not my cup of tea. So the Wynn event sounds like the winner.
