WSOPC Planet Hollywood Nov 2017

Sorry if this has already been addressed elsewhere... Is there a thread for this series? I'm particularly looking for a structure for the Tag Team event.

Thanks

No thread to my knowledge. And, as usual, structures are being kept secret. I think you can sort of infer that it will be a pretty fast structure.

WSOP Circuit ring events are standardized.

You can see them at www.wsop.com/circuit

They're not totally standardized. For example on the multi-flight events, different stops have played varying amount of Levels on Day 1

Hey everyone, we will have full structure sheets shortly. As far as the tag team goes it will follow the $365 betting structure with 20 minute levels as it's a one day event.

2 questions about event 1 (365) - 6 flights over 3 days to start, noon and 4p each day:

1 - About how many hours would the day '1' flights be projected to take?

2 - Does making day 2 guarantee in-the-money?

Thanks

Chris, the more I think about the details of what happened yesterday, the more outraged I become about the indifference of the entire staff of the poker room.

I understand that the floor management had no idea what was going on when staff would not assist me in calling security when that guy took off, but the idea that management never noticed anything when security was hovering at a tournament table on and off for a half hour?

I really hope everyone is trained better for the series. Otherwise it is practically an open invitation for people to come in off the street and rip off your customers.

Guy starts to take off and staff practically shrugs when I ask them to call security.

I chase down security get them to catch him. They want to just let him go and call it good because I got purse back. The guy clearly expected to be let go as well.

I insist they need to at least ban him from property. They tell me if I want to pursue it I should call metro.

Turbo tournament has restarted at this point. I'm asking can they call for me. Finally , they call surveillance confirm guy straight up lifted my purse and 86 him
Security keeps asking me to get up from tournament to answer questions, I'm asking dealer to explain to them that will cost me tournament and it's all on video.

At one point, guard bizarrely asks me my TR status. I said Platinum, he asks to see card, and I accidentally pulled out old gold one. He comments that it's not Platinum,, and I pull out right one. Then he asks if I am guest of hotel? I guess I didn't " rank."

Anyway after tournament, I try to talk to poker room manager about total indifference and was told supervisor didn't know about it. Not responsible for player property, etc but did want to reprimand the guy who wouldn't call security if I could identity him.

I wasn't looking to get a specific person in trouble, just pointing out that if the situation were more serious, I would hope the staff would be able to quickly and reflexively call security. And would at least inform management when something like this happens.

Normally players are asked to leave the area during breaks. Was this not the case in this tourney? Where was the dealer in all this? They're supposed to be watching the table.

Seems odd that some random guy was just milling about. I wonder if this is a new thing given how many players bring bags, etc to tourneys. I'm sure many of these bags have valuable contents, so maybe its just a new scam for people to stalk around the tourneys waiting for a chance to grab something.

As for your experience, unfortunately, I think its just the way things are in Vegas. The level of "justice" you receive is directly proportional to your gaming "status". Employees are trained to treat different customers in vastly different ways depending on their status. That has definitely been my impression of Caesars properties, though I'm sure its typical everywhere. I don't know if that's what happened here, or if it was just normal incompetence/poor hospitality. In any case, if this sticky-fingered guy was a seven-star, you'd be lucky if you weren't the one to get in trouble for inconveniencing him by keeping an eye on your purse. I'm only half-joking.

how have structure sheets not been posted yet?

The series starts in 2 weeks. Do you expect people to book time to come play not knowing the structures?

The only event that might have a non standard structure is Event #1. All other events are standard strucuture like every other circuit event.

this was not that type of tournament. I don't think he was specifically targeting tournaments or even the poker room. I failed on my own situational awareness, in that the table was at the edge of a poker room in the middle of a casino near a doorway to the strip. It became obvious by security's reaction that people come in looking for unguarded property. While the guards seemed to think I was making them do unnecessary work, I would think pH would have some incentive to at least make stealing from their customers a little more difficult.

I am more used to local type rooms where I am known and people / floor keep their eyes open. I am not upset with the dealer who saw it but said as far as he knew it could have been a poker player getting his stuff.

What bothered me was the staff member hovering over the whole time, who looked like some kind of floor supervisor to me. Thief rightly had no qualms or fears, stealing stuff right under his nose because he couldn't care less. Wouldn't even get security for me. Frankly it didn't seem like Chris, who was not there when it happened, would have even bothered to talk to me about it had he not been pressured to do so.

Now I understand that pH is a poker room that caters to anonymous tourists, and I can and will keep my guard up while playing there.

Ahhh. I thought you were upstairs in the Mezz. If you were in the regular poker area, it makes more sense from the standpoint of opportunity for would-be thieves. But thereís a security desk something like 25 feet from the poker area. I canít believe the staff there would hesitate to walk a few feet to get security for you. Thatís definitely something chris should address.

Good question. It seems the tag team event fee has flipped-flopped on the schedule and/or structures. Schedule I think is (for now), still saying $250.

$250 (total buy in per team) and it's a ring event non POY points
