WSOPC Harrah's Cherokee (Cherokee, NC), April 10-22 WSOPC Harrah's Cherokee (Cherokee, NC), April 10-22

Schedule here:

WSOPC Cherokee 4/10-4/22

Haven't been up to one of these in 5 years. Looks like the guarantees are going up a little each year. Will be there the first few days for the 600k and hopefully the cash games are good as well.

also, they are having their Cherokee Poker Classic 04/05 until 04/09. I'm not sure what that schedule looks like, but just so you know if you get to the circuit events early, there'll be some action...

Thanks for starting the thread. If you think five years is a long absence...this is my first WSOPc at Cherokee. I literally haven’t been to that Harrah’s since there was no poker, or even table games at all. The law only allowed machines my one trip there about two decades ago. So I’m pumped for the event.

I’ll be there for the second weekend (Thursday-Saturday during Good Friday) and looking to play a couple of 4pm tournies.

The guarantees should go up since they raised the buy in. Same tournament was $365 buyin last year. Not complaining though, looks like they're only taking $5 more out of the buyin and adding $30 to the pot.

I'm not sure on that, was thinking it was $5, but I didn't play much if any cash games last year, I just know there's a ton of play during the event.

Does anyone have any information about sattelites that will be running during this series?

Several are shown here:

I don't see anything about single table satellites, but looking at some of their previous stops I'm sure they'll be available as well.

Definitely 10% to $7. Even for the 200 cap 1/2. 5/5 Plo and higher was $7/half hour time but everything is 10% $7 cap now with no promo drop.

Pretty much all single tables are $125s and $200s. $125s usually last about 60-75 minutes. $200s about 20 minutes longer.

I’m guessing they pay out in cash and not lammers?

Last I heard they pay out in regular casino chips which is awesome.

Yes all single table SNG's pay in regular casino chips not lammers. They got rid of the lammers years ago

Do they typically get any O8/PLO8/Big O cash games during circuit events or is it all NLHE and PLO?

They usually get at least 1 table of 5/5 Big O throughout the series and can get more on the weekend. I’ve seen PLO8 on the weekend at various limits but haven’t seen limit O8

There's also a $250 Big O tourney on 4/9. May draw in a few more players

Anyone there yet? I'm driving up from ATL tomorrow for the 10:00 AM flight. Any early indication of attendance? Love this Circuit stop! Mountains are pretty this time of year.

I’m here. Stage is full of players and less than half of floor of main room. Not a ton of people here yet but they expect a lot tomorrow and a ton Saturday. I’ve only played sngs so far and they’re soft as expected.

I see that 5/5 Big O game has been running. I’m guessing it’s probably super soft, but how big does it play?
