Are all events re entry or only ones labeled "re entry?"

One would think, however, Choctaw wsopc has some labeled "unlimited re entry" and some not. Yet they are all unlimited re entry.

Any recommendations on nearby hotels?

What type of hotels/motels are you used to? Are you picky or nah?

Would like something pretty decent. Planning on staying 18-23. Just wondering if anything close to the casino or as well staying more centrally in Chicago and traveling to and from. Appreciate any assistance.

Ameristar Casino in East Chicago, IN has some decent rooms. 10-12 min drive to Horseshoe.

Looks like the popular stimulus events are back with all their added seats on Wednesday, as well as added seats to the 7pm nightlies, 3pm, and megas. Love the value on those, definitely makes them worth playing a few.

Anyone know the turn out for the HORSE event in prior years, and what to expect for this one?

Does anyone know when the first event's day 2/3 will be?

Turnout last year was something like 110-120. I don't remember the specific number, just that HORSE and PLO were close in numbers (both were $580).

Yeah, in 2016 HORSE was 116, and PLO was 126, which was the first time it allowed re-entry. In 2015 HORSE was 101 and PLO was 106. Both years it was the same day as this year: Sunday PLO 5PM (on the day of the re-entry restart) and Monday HORSE 5PM (on the day of the noon Monster Stack) and the same buyin level ($580).

On one hand its hard for the odd games to compete versus something like the monster stack, on the other hand the odds of getting more players is higher when there is something else drawing players to the casino that day. Probably comes out in a wash? I know Michelle amongst others post a lot about horse, so I'll just say this for reference: As someone who loves PLO but not horse, I can say that if HORSE was a stand alone day the way the Omaha 8 event is, I probably wouldn't show up that day to play and just take the day off. But if I bust the Monster, I'll inevitably hop in it since I'm already at the casino. So this scheduling works on someone like me at least.

Days 1A-1D combine for day 2 on Sunday at Noon. Likely play down to the FT or close to it, which should reconvene Monday at 2PM.


I just noticed there are 2 seniors events - 10AM on Sunday of both weekends. This is new for Hammond, but is it something that's been done at another stop before? I can't say I recall it happening before.

Should be a great series I am excited for this one

well sh*t...between airports being jacked up and the prospect of a new job that would require relocation to another State, I may be out of the running for a return trip to Hammond.

I have no doubt that the airports will be back to normal within the month, but some of the airfares have been crazy as the airlines play catch-up.

Will have a better idea on new position next week...they were willing to do a telephonic interview given the issues with travel right now from Houston. Still unsure if I really want to move though...family concerns would remain in Texas not to mention leaving the current employer in the lurch (they are presently displaced by the storms).

Really annoying that no final days are Sunday. Was it like this last year? Sucks to make rec players like me have to skip work.

How has turnout been compared to last year? I'll be up tonight for a couple days.

Got a room in Merillville, 15-20 minute drive away, on Priceline for $60 all in.
