Maybe I’m not paying attention, but is the main unlimited re entry this year as oppose to single re entry per flight? Can’t find where it specifically says either way. Thanks

Been twice for cash games and have been great both times but are 3 stops a year going to start burning people out down there? I know its a hotbed of poker down there would hate to lose that.

They’ve had 4 series a year for almost a decade. It’s just that one or two of them has been “less than” the WSOP/WPT brand level.

The unlimited re-entry can drain the economy and with this being right after WSOP I wouldn’t be shocked if it was down a bit but would be shocked if it wasn’t still a great stop.

Played at Choctaw today. Yeah Monday’s are slow but what the hell. One of the dealers told me the cash games would remain in the poker room for the first week of the series starting this Thursday. Then move over to the big room next to the tournament room after that. Guess there is something else going on in that room now. He didn’t know.

Levels 3 and 4 on the Structure sheets for the Ring events w/ multiple Day 1 flights are the same (100-200, 200 bb ante) I assume it's an error

I assumed it was a way to keep the structure from accelerating too fast since we aren't starting with quarters.

EDIT: Checked on WSOP site, since ring event structures are standardized, it's intentional to repeat the level.

I'm a little confused. When is "Day 2" of Event #2? I see 6 flights for what I assume is "day 1". I'm planning to come up Friday night, but might not make it in time to reg for the 5pm flight.

I’m assuming you mean ring event 2 and not event 2. In looking at the structure sheet entitled “ring-flights.pdf” ( and these structure sheets suck, they are not specific to any numbered event, so I’m kinda guessing here) it says day 2 will be on the day following the final flight. So if I’m reading it correctly, that would be Sunday July 21.

Yeah, I meant Ring Event #2. Sunday at noon for day2 is what makes sense to me too, but I figured they would put that on the calendar.

I have been trying to reserve a room in either the Spa tower or Grand tower for the main on July 27 and July 28. After days of checking, the 28th finally opened up and I got a reservation for just that night. However, I still haven't managed to get a reservation for the 27th.

I plan to check daily for cancellations. However, if anyone has a non-smoking room in the Spa tower on the 27th and ultimately needs to cancel, I'd appreciate a DM to let me know so I can call the hotel and swoop it up quickly to add to my existing reservation after you cancel.

Best Western, Holiday Inn Express, and Hampton Inn in Durant are all about $100/nt plus tax on hotels.com for Fri and Sat nights, and about a 5 min drive from Choctaw. Can't imagine skipping a soft $1700 main with a milly guarantee over a 5 min drive.

Plus they all include breakfast! There's $10 more for the roll!
