Got lucky in the super satty and won a main event seat. Decided to play Saturday.

Nice! See you tomorrow, looking forward to my jerky. I'm playing the 2pm Mega and the 7pm tomorrow, then the Main on Saturday.

What number of entries do the Mega's usually draw? Thinking about driving over this afternoon.

I'm honestly not sure. I think the 5p Mega today will be the largest but I would rather play the 7p tourney due to structure.

Having just realized that damned near all of the decent on-site restaurants are closed on Monday's, is there a decent off-property steakhouse that anyone can recommend?

Or, with Monday being a holiday, does anyone know if they will be operating despite normally being closed on Mondays?

Beginning to wonder if I should have just booked in Denison instead of spending the extra $60 to be closer...

Well I got knocked out of main event with KK vs 66 in level 15 and I was seriously thinking about heading home to Tunica in the morning but after looking at Tunica’s schedule and the events left here there is more money to be won here at Choctaw with the $365 ring event with $200,000 guarantee, seniors events here that will draw more players than the Shoe’s non guaranteed ring events, the $10,000 added $240.00 and then Choctaw has the $500,000 guaranteed $350 with so many ways to satty into it that it makes it hard to not stay here even though Tunica is my home and I miss sleeping in my bed. And I can still be in Tunica for their Monster stack on January 24th.

I know where the Choctaw Inn is, and I can easily walk to the casino from there. Where is the location of the Choctaw Lodge? The website says you can take a shuttle to the casino, but is it easily walkable as well?

It is reasonably walkable but would suck if really cold or rainy or something.

Yes, You can just exit near the bowling alley /cinema hall and walk across the parking lot.

Oh, I thought that was the Choctaw Inn. Maybe I have them confused. I have stayed at the one that is probably about a 1/4 mile walk or so from the door if you come out of casino near the bowling alley/movie theater. Is that the Choctaw Lodge? If so, where is the Choctaw Inn?

GL in the Main today Katherine Bowen. Also, good luck Bronson Tucker in his day 2. As for me I'll be playing in the old farts tourney and if I bust there is another senior event noon Tuesday. Then comes Wednesday for the super satellite with $20,000 added and a 75 seat guarantee not only for the noon satellite but also for the 5pm satellite both for seats in the $500,000 guarantee monster stack (15,000 starting chips with 30 minute levels) with noon and 5pm flights Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And I can't forget about another 6 mega satellites for a seat into the 500K guarantee. With that many sattys even I should be able to win a seat or two. The ring events are nearly over but there is plenty of poker left to be played here at Choctaw.

Bigtex, in your estimate, what's the most convenient/cost effective way to stay in the Choctaw area during these series? Sounds like you stay for the whole series.

Also, I imagine now that the WSOPC is drawing to a close, will we be seeing the release of the April event schedule soon?

Priceline hidden hotel is the Hampton Inn and that will probably be the cheapest. I asked about the April schedule and was told it will be out in a day or two.

Yea I just checked my reservation from last time and it was the Choctaw Lodge I stayed at. I can suffer through that walk even if it is rainy/cold. So where is the Choctaw Inn located? Is it even closer to the casino? Is Choctaw Inn the casino that has a parking lot close to the parking lot outside of the old part of the casino?

Choctaw inn is connected to casino, between old and new casino. Choctaw lodge is not connected. You have to walk across the parking lot or take the shuttle. Here is the property map. Look at #29...

How is it looking for the 500k gtd?

Wondering if they are looking at an overlay.

According to bravo over 300 in the noon with 5 flights left so that's a firm no and its pretty turboish structure

I'd set the line at 2,800 entries. I actually think it might break 3,000 entries because of the 2 extra added flights.

NO chance of overlay here.

Cool. I hope it does well. I plan to be up there in time for the Friday afternoon flight. Bigger prize pool works for me.

How is it a turboish structure? Is it not the same structure as the $365 ring event but with a larger starting stack?
