Am I understanding the schedule of events correctly?

Ring Event #3 ($400) has just 2 flights. Both on Friday? This will conclude on Saturday?

Then on Saturday Ring Event #4 ($250) has just 2 flights? And this will conclude on Sunday?

In the past they have always done multiple days with multiple flights. The $360/now $400 event sometimes had up to 5 flights starting on Thr and going to Sat with a final on Sun...

I guess after the last few showings they cut back on the number of days/flights these mid level buy ins will have?

Correct on ^^^. I would much prefer the bigger prizepool with 4+ flights, but it is what it is. I cant make the main event weekend so going up to play event #4, the $250. This should get a 1,000+ runners, right?

Event 4 should draw 1500+.

Would like to get the 50-100/ 75-150 mix going throughout entire series again staring on Jan 2 if anyone else who played in November is interested?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned event #7:$400 4-max. Pretty unusual game - I've personally never seen nor played a live 4-max. You seem them sometimes in high roller lineups, but not at this price point. This replaces the 6-max by the way, so don't expect 2 short handed events.

That's about my only positive takeaway. 8 of the 13 ring events are unlimited re-entry, and the other 5 are single re-entry. As close to a freezeout as we're gonna get :/

Seriously debating not coming to Choctaw for the first time in 6 years; the rake-em-to-death mindset has reached a fevered pitch. I thought it had peaked last year, but it doesn't look any better this year. There were no freezeouts last year either, though I honestly don't remember how many were limited to 1 re-entry.

So no prize pool guarantees other than the main & the $130 $50k gtd?...

That is the only ones but Choctaw draws the biggest Wsopc fields, they don’t need guarantees to draw players.

Heading back to choctaw, but never stayed at the property before. They got refrigerators and microwaves in the spa or tower rooms?

Refrigerators in the tower/spa rooms but no microwave but you can request one at check in and they can usually bring you one.

I have to disagree with this. The last series had a pretty crappy turnout. Even a 250k gtd goes a long way as far as attracting players.
I am all for short handed play, and I actually prefer it to full ring...why change the 6 max to 4 max? I’m all for trying new formats, but don’t take away the 6 max. Jimmy and their crew are good about taking players input, but don’t recall anyone asking for a 4 max. Oh well...

What is the turnout for event 1? Rain kept me away.

Removing the 500k guarantee multi flight is absolutely ridiculous. THE circuit event that crushed the entry records for ALL series many years in a row, always blowing past the guarantee (sometimes doubling it) and they reduce it to a no guarantee 2 flight reentry?! what the hell?? The only logical explanation is A) the failure to meet guarantees in the Nov circuit (which has never been close to to the same size and January`s) and B) To get players to play more tournaments rather than picking a day to some fire the reentry anticipating that may increase buy in volume per player? If its not broke, dont fix it IMO and this schedule is **** compared to what it was. Rec players are alot more likely to come fire at a big guarantee rather than come play a bunch of smaller tourneys. And plus, isnt that what the WSOP-C is all about? great structured, affordable tournaments with the chance of a HUGE ROI. Last year they had a 500k guarantee on it and it reached 900k+ with first being 158k FOR A $365 BUY IN. THATS WHAT THE CIRCUITS ALL ABOUT, now you gone and killed it. Couldnt be more disappointed.

Also not a fan of the subtle increase in rake.

The whole thing is just not as appealing.

Wow, pulling in the players left and right!!

Thinking about going straight cash game play this weekend. Having a tough time getting excited about a $250 with 50k up top as opposed to more than double that in past years for the same event. Agree with the above posts that this January schedule has really lost its luster this year.

You’re comparing a multi flight event with a single flight.

The number from today’s multi flight $400 should be a closer comparison. But making the monster stack a single flight was a poor choice.
