First time it was three handed and everyone agreed to take back buyin. Then at heads up I took 200 other guy took 100 and we played for the rest.
Next time it got down to heads up and other guy asked to chop, he said 400 me & 200 him. I said 450 / 150, and we settled on 425 / 175. Just don't want to be a jerk nor get taken advantage of.
Also what is standard dealer tip for sit n go's. I think I gave $25 both times along with other player.
After I fired three unsuccessful bullets into Event 2B and C, I cashed and chopped two straight $125 SnG’s. First one, I got down to heads up and I was an overwhelming chip lead, something like 17k-3k. Other guy asked about a chop and I offered he take $200 and I get the rest($900). He declined and we played about another 10 hands before he asked again about a chop. He had bumped his stack up to about 7k. He asked if $700/400 was okay and I agreed instead of trying to negotiate further.
Next SnG, I was big stack with four players left. Two of the guys offered they(the other 3) take $200 each and I take the remaining $500 plus the Last Longer pot (another $200). I was fine with it but the third guy didn’t want to chop so after he busted next(isn’t that how it always works?), they took $250 each, we split the $200 Last Longer and I took about $680.
Each time, I tipped the dealer $20 out of my pot plus the other guy(s) also tipped at least $15. Not sure if that’s in line with what other people tip but I think it’s fair for an hour’s work.
I personally don’t mind chopping those SnG’s since I understand the grind it takes to do well in them and avoid unlucky situations. I prefer chopping heads up but am open to 3 ways if it makes sense.
