Interestingly, if you click on the "Special Room Rates" link after going to the link in the opening post, you get to this page: http://www.wsop.com/promotions/files...d-schedule.pdf which shows nightly tournaments, mega satellites, and two stimulus events.

Questions:
- For the $255 mega satellites, can you sell/transfer the seat to someone else or do you have to play it?
- In regards to Event 1A and 1B, is it unlimited entries?

So since they got rid of the guarantees at this stop does anyone see a massive drop in runners for this series? I'd imagine numbers will be down but these should still be way worth the 11 hour drive right?

I don't think getting rid of the guarantees will affect the turn out too significantly. The past three years event #1 has had more than 2,400 entrants. 2011/2012 had 3,001 entries, 2012/2013 had 2,498 entries (this year specifically there was no guaranteed prize pools), and 2013/2014 had 2,496.

As for the main event, the 2011/2012 had 1,615 entries, 2012/2013 had 1,523 (again no guarantees, and this was the least number of entries out of the past 3 years, but it isn't a massive drop) entries, and 2013/2014 had 1,717 entries. I suspect there will be less entries this year, but I don't think it will be a huge drop in entries especially since this is one the of biggest circuit event locations.

Does anyone know if when Early Registration is available in the Poker Room (or online) for Event 3 on Monday, 10/20?

Thank you and GL to all!

If anything it probably has to do with the fail that happened earlier this year with the CPC imo. Their were massive overlays because they released the schedule so late and did a terrible job promoting it.

Very disappointed that event 1 was changed to unlimited reentry until start at level 13 (9:45pm).

I stay here every year I come out. It's the best bang for your buck IMO. I'm actually looking to split a room with someone seeing as my buddy just backed out on me. I have a 2 bed room booked from Thursday the 16th until Sunday the 19th. If anyone is interested feel free to pm me or respond in this thread. Thanks!

If anyone is looking for a place to stay during the Hammond event, I am happy to discuss renting out a room in my Chicago apartment and/or my car for transport to and from the casino. PM if interested and we can negotiate terms.

@Kevmath @SeanGPoker @ChiHorseshoe Confirmed through Level 12 (~9:45pm). Should be a good one. 1,717 entries and $400K+ to first last year!

That is a response from an earlier question regarding the Main Event. Last year 1,717 ents for the Main Event. Not event #1

Oh yes, you are correct. That's a bit better, I suppose. Still don't like that it's unlimited reentry.

Unlimited reentries each day? I thought you could fire 1 barrel at 1a and then 1 barrel at 1b

Has the casino still been giving away main event seats to cash game players?

The rake on the side events seems absurd (i guess when you factor in the added seats they are just charging what evenyone else does). But added money and seats was the number one thing this event had going and if they basically eliminate it with huge rake it sort of loses its appeal.

They gave away 80 main event circuit seats to top 80 total hours played and another 80 seats to event 1 to people who had highest hours ranking 80-160

I need to be able to have internet at the cash game room here or I will have to make other arrangements, and would be nice to have it during the tournaments as well. Last year, there was so many people that the Horseshoe Wifi connection would not work. I have Sprint on an older Note 2 phone, & mobile data is barely useable in the poker room or casino as well. I'm a Comcast/Infinity internet customer, and it says on their website they have a hotspot right next to the casino. Can anybody tell me if the Comcast/Infinity Wifi Hotspot comes up while you are in the poker room?
