Agree about the bath rooms.

Another tip I figured out last year that I will be taking advantage of this year.

When buying in a tournament the line can be very long. I stood in line for 3+ hours multiple times last year.

If you already know the tournaments you plan on entering than you can register any time for them even weeks, months in advance. This can be done online or in person. I would recommend online as the kiosk where you pick up your tickets were always deserted last year.

Staying at Treasure Island 13th to the 27th. Only $1239 for 14 days.
Playing all the mixed events possible in that time.

Big starting stack + fairly good structure = long running tournament. As it is there are plenty of people arguing about how the structure is too fast.

There are a lot of bathrooms outside that most people don't know about. I can't describe how to get there, I always have to figure it out again every year.

What is everyone doing about the parking fees at every casino? I haven't played tourneys since they started implementing them. Is Uber the way to go?

To my knowledge The Venetian and Rio do not charge for parking. And if you are rated through Total Rewards (platinum level and above) the other Caesars properties on the strip are free as well.

For events played somewhere other than where I am staying, I just take a cab. Would be more concerned if I ever get around to buying someplace near the Strip, although that is where I would get some additional use out of the status with the credit card that allows free parking (both Mlife and Total Rewards have card offerings).

If you can get Platinum Total Rewards card you can get free parking at most of the Ceasers properties. This can be gotten a few different ways.

1: Earn Tier Credits normally.

2: Serving or have served in the Military.

3: Get the Total Rewards Credit Card. Currently have a sign up bonus.

4: Sign up for a Founders Card. This earns Diamond which comes with more benefits.

There are also some casinos that give free parking still but unsure which ones as they keeping getting rid of them.

If you do one of the above than just park at the closest Ceasers Property than walk to the casino you want to go to. No reason to spend money on Uber or a cab if you already have a car.

I myself do not rent a car for my trip and just take uber though. Do not like the hassle of driving through a strange cities traffic.

From 5/26 - 7/6, the series is located at the Sands Convention Center adjacent to the casino and we'll see how that goes as I've not played there. Venetian has free parking which is a plus.

Beyond that I'll probably be looking for loose O8 cash games at the Orleans (which now runs 4-8, 8-16 and a new regular 15-30 game). If I strike it rich, there is juicy 20-40 and above cash games at the Rio.

I like the structures at Planet Hollywood, but the lighting is just bad.

Wynn is a great facility and I like the seedy charm of the Golden Nugget and downtown.
Lighting has been improved on the Mezz!

Love this year's schedule overall.

Hoping to stay 3+ weeks in June at various dives.

Playing a ton of $250-$1,500 O8 and some other non-NLH (PLO, OE, Stud8, HORSE) at $600 or less.

Going to try to avoid the bigger other non-NLH events for the sake of my bankroll and my sanity/stamina.

Trying to decide to either play the PH 600 Milli or the Venetian 400K for also the $600 buy in, both start around the same time 6/8, I'm only in town until Sunday 6/8 any suggestions? I know the PH field will prolly be fishy any thoughts?

I use https://www.702scooters.com/ to hire a mobility scooter, and not paid a parking fee yet

1: Where will you being staying?

2: What tournaments will you be entering? What is your schedule like?

3: Are there are any other venues you will also play at other then at the RIO?

4: Are there any tournaments that you will avoid during the WSOP?

Last year I missed out on some good tournaments because I did not know better. I was also very new at poker and during the last year I have gained a lot of experience. I hope to do much better this year.

Staying at the Rio. Others hate the place. I like it! I have 12 nights comped during 2 periods.

I will be there re from 6/7 till 6/17 with 6 nights at the Rio and the remainder at the Comfort Suites in Henderson.

The schedule is perfect! I will be playing a variety of Senior and PLO events at the WSOP and a few other venues. The Super Seniors is allowing me to play a couple years early as well.

Great schedule. I am excited to return this year. If i can do well I will return for the Main event in July.

If I bust early on the first trip there are other PLO and Senior events to play in around Vegas.

This year I will avoid the DDS and the Sit n Go's.

Looking forward to a great summer.

I'd definitely recommend the PH milly between the 2. Structures will be pretty similar, and the field at PH should be softer. With more starting days/bigger guarantee, you're also playing for more money at PH. Venue/dealer wise, Venetian will be a bit nicer/cleaner but shouldn't be a big enough difference imo.

Staying in Rio 6/21-6/29. Going to play the $2500 OE (#58) and $1500 PLO8 (#68). Other then that, going to play cash the rest of my time there, probably at the Bellagio, Aria and Orleans.

Anyone know when online registration starts for the WSOP? Says "March 2018" but not much else.

Thanks for all the post. With these post as well as doing more research I have decided to cancel my previous plans and reschedule my trip.

Now im going from June 22 - July 2.

As of right now the poker tournaments I plan on doing are:
June 23: $1500 WSOP Monster Stack
June 24 and June 25: $400 NLH at Venetian $1 Million GTD.
June 26: $500 WPT500 at Aria (Likely $1 Million GTD)
June 27: $400 NLH at Venetian $1 Million GTD.
June 28: $500 WPT500 at Aria (Likely $1 Million GTD)
June 29: $365 WSOP Giant
June 30: $888 WSOP NLH
July 1: $888 WSOP NLH
July 2: Fly home

The above schedule will of course be revised if I make it to day 2 of any of the above tournaments. Last year I had about a 25% success rate of cashing out but it was always right after the bubble. I hope I can do as well this year but make it further after the bubble.

This is also not finished because there are still tournaments schedules that are not posted yet. If you see anything you would change be free to let me know.

I assume you meant Sunday 6/10.

Anyhow, here are some comparison points... even though official structures haven't been released, I agree with another poster in that they should be very similar.

the Venetian is a two day tourney, so it should definitely be over by Sunday, while, Ph is a three day tourney which will likely be playing well into Sunday. Of course, by then, it will be well into the money, so perhaps extending your stay a bit might make sense, if it should become necessary.

The Venetian has a $10 food comp. As far as I know Ph doesn't.

The Venetian tourney starts at 12:00pm... Ph at 10:00 am.

The Venetian will be holding its events in the Sands Expo center this year for the first time, so its a bit of unchartered territory. However, I am told they will still have shuffle machines throughout and I would expect them to have well-run events and a pretty cool setup, akin to some of the things (like food stations and player lounges, etc.) you see at the WSOP.

PH has had issues over the years with dealer quality and a generally sub-standard poker-playing environment (poor lighting, low quality chairs, etc.). I am told these have been or will be addressed, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

You will run into wilder players at PH which can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how things work out.

If all you care about is biggest bang for your buck, then I would go with PH since its guarantee is larger. Of course, you can enter that and match your competition and play like a madman, and if you bust, head over to the Venetian. I believe registration is open to like 9:45pm.

Its too bad you can't stay a little longer... the Venetian is holding its own $600 1MM guarantee tourney starting that weekend and going into the first part of the week. And of course, the week before that weekend is the MSPT $1100 at the Venetian which should have a 4MM+ prizepool this year.

GL whatever you choose.

I believe PH is only free for self parking to the general public for 0-60 minutes. For longer stays, PH is free for Platinum+ rated players, but not for Gold (ie a player who just signed up through Total Rewards, or has not earned enough tier points to qualify for Platinum). So unless something has changed or is different about PH this year, there could be a parking charge at PH, depending on your Total Rewards card status

Here is a link to the Caesars parking policy...

It seems like you prefer somewhat faster structures, and are a bit of a nigh-owl. If that's the case, then this schedule makes a lot of sense.

I am actually the opposite. lol. I much prefer a much earlier schedule as I normally go to sleep at 8-9 pm and get up really early. This will be a chore but will attempt to change my sleeping habits a little before I go.

I also prefer long structures like most people. Sadly not many long structures set up in my price range. I do not want to spend more than $5,000 and the above is pushing that. I am assuming I make at least cash in one of the above so I can afford that schedule.

Going to go back over every tournament and see if I can find a better structure event for most of my days but doubt I can. At this point I can still change the dates and tournaments if I see something better for 10 days.

During that timeframe there are a number of tourneys in the 500-600 range with better structures at The Venetian, PH and Golden Nugget. They won’t have the 1mil guarantee like the WPT500, but should be pretty big nonetheless. The WPT is a good event, but I know it goes quite late on day one (past 2:00 am when all is said and done) given the play down structure. In any case, the other events certainly offer potentially better structures and more reasonable day one completion times.. It seems like you could replace the Venetian NightStacks and WSOP Giant (both of which go well into the morning for day one) with any of those regular 500-600 tourneys and not bust your budget.

Been waiting for all of the summer schedules to release but I'm getting a bit antsy so I figured I'd ask all of you. I'm trying to decide on whether I should go 6/1-6/11 or 6/8-6/18. The first 2-3 days of either trip would be with my gf and I wouldn't be doing any serious grinding. Typically I try to play one tourney a day (BI between $100-300) and will usually throw in one "higher" BI event on my trip ($500-600). I've perused the already release schedules and it looks like there are tournaments that meet my interest level from 6/1-6/18 anyways. Anybody have any advice as to which period may be better?
