Debating last minute sending it to Atlantis for this. Would just be for 2 bullets for the mini main, so definitely setting myself up for failure ha... Did folks who went last year enjoy it? Honestly can't decide whether it'd be worth it, but wouldn't hate a beach vacation + poker. Any cash games at night?

If you are wanting to have a good beach vacation while playing poker, I would recommend looking into WSOPC Aruba for example (1.6k ME) or perhaps Rio de Janeiro... Either way, no, Bahamas is not great by any means and will be a SHR fest this year. GL

Thanks, I appreciate the insight. Is the beach just not that great or something? Guessing it's crowded? That's a really good point about even the mini main being infested with SHR. Field's gotta be pretty -EV for a rec like me

The beach is nice, but that's the only good part of Bahamas ; if not, it is overpriced, overwhelmed by drug gang wars, and not really a place I fancy to visit.

I heard their tourism board is rolling out a new ad campaign… “The Bahamas… come for the beaches. Stay for the drug gang wars!”.

Idk why they don’t run a series in Asia. Bahamas seems incredibly random

I'm here in the Bahamas now. I have to say the prices here are crazy. All items are priced like you are at the Wynn, but there is no option to go else where. I went to the local market and it cost me a $60 USD cab ride (The drive told me ahead of time and said it was by zone) just to get a few snacks that would be "cheaper" for my stay.

You won't find a coffee at Atlantis cheaper than $5, there is a $71.50 a night Resort fee. Everything is auto gratuity of 15% with the option to add more to it. The resort buffet is $63 a person for dinner.

The new WSOP+ app is great though and the European dealers are very good. They do have a player buffet (only for players) but it's a bit basic (does the trick though).

I don’t know who use this highly overpriced resort. I checked 5 day stays ( I understand it’s Xmas week), was quoted $19000 !!!

Seeing some videos and posts online from WSOP Paradise. The tournament massage staff appears to be next level.

Yeah, after going last year for the first time, I DEFINITELY have no plans of returning to the Bahamas!!! That being said, one finds ways to save several $$$ by leaving Atlantis, finding the cheaper options a couple of blocks away/outside of Paradise island (and never fracking giving anything over the already included 15% ). And that 60$ cab ride was a ripoff that would of been 60% less a couple of blocks away/free if you did the 20 minutes walk...
