Btw I have a taxi guy named Ednal, licensed with his own company and a few drivers. Transportation from the airport is unusually expensive, some of which is a product of vehicles being relatively expensive in the Bahamas. NAS to Atlantis is often $50. I've heard of families of 3 or 4 with luggage get charged $70. Rev Ed offers referred riders a 10-20% discount. Unless you request otherwise, he (or one of his drivers) will meet you just outside arrivals with a paper sign.

PM for phone number. He has WhatsApp.

Event 1 is OnLive. Event 2 is only live for the players who finished in the top 100 or so online.

I arive at 6PM tomorrow. I booked a shuttle via the Atlantis app $33.77 round trip. It is not really clear on the app what the shuttle company is, but then in the confirmation email it says is Majestic Tours and provides their phone number. and instructs that if don't see the shuttle to go to the Atlantis Kiosk located right near the exit after customs. I'll report tomorrow how it goes.

We paid $65 for 3 passengers, but getting hustled a little after being initially quoted $60, but hey, speaking poker in the back will oftentimes lead to a little hustling in such a touristic place

That sucks. Shouldn't pay more than $40 for a single rider. The shuttle seems like a fair deal if you're single and don't mind waiting around + stops.

Ok I’m afraid this may be a sh*t show today. Went by last night and no one was working. No live cash no registration no floor. Everything starts at 9:00 this morning for a noon event. I’m sure it will be flawless for a first ever event at Atlantis…..

First update. Cannot buy chips anywhere but a gaming table. Cage will not sell. Tables open at 10. Registration also opens at 10. All events open for registration 2 hours before start. O idea if I can buy in for tomorrows event today. Never ever been to a casino that refused to sell chips.

What are you using the chips for? Ring games? Maybe they have the TITO system like some cruise ships.

90 minutes to go. Still cannot register but no one is here yet anyways. Should be interesting!

Update 2. They do sell chips beside registration. Much faster than the casino!

Will there be cash games? I asked last night and they didn't know.

So registration was fairly fast. There is also the added addition of loading your WSOP app with BTC, which is very welcomed. On the downside, they gave you a dinner buffet voucher with every single entry of the Mystery Bounty today, all of which will be deducted from the 5 mil guaranteed prize pool, obviously

As an American player am I going to be able to play the online events hosted by GGpoker? I don't have an account with them and when I tried to set up a account for when I get down there United States isn't even a residency option to open an account.

What I would do is put Bahamas. See how goes from there. Asks for "country of residence" not citizenship.

Well I'd rather my account be legitimate if I have a score down there! Nowhere does the wsop give any instructions for the online events. Frustrating!

What's the WSOP app?

Can I buy in to a physical tournament (not online) with Bitcoin?

The new WSOP+ app is required as proof of identity. At the table you are checked in by the dealer with facial recognition which is he looks at his iPad and confirms it is you. You can buy in with Bitcoin through some other app for live events. Not sure the details as I used casino chips.

Yes you can buy into events with BTC and a couple other cryptos. Get the WSOP+ app, which you need to play events here.

The Bahamas thing I suggested is a valid way of creating a GG account if you’re trying to play online while here. There will be a couple verification hoops to go through.

Once you have a GG account, you link it with your WSOP+ account. From there you can deposit cash into your WSOP+ account and transfer it to your GG balance (if you’re not using crypto).

So if I fund on the wsop+ app using Luxon or BTC will I only be able to use those funds for wsop tournaments or can I access them for cash games/casino a Paradise?

Does the place feel full?

WSOP.Ca was running a promotion last night that if you cashed in either of their two weekly tournaments, you had a shot at winning a free hotel to Bahamas. I cashed and woke up today to an email congratulating me on winning a hotel room. I thought all their giveaways had ended. Makes me wonder if attendance is down and they are scrambling to get players. I have a commitment that I can't get out of for the next few days and I am hoping I will be in good enough shape to go for the main event. Seems like it will be juicy
