Last year, they went from 79 to 27 in 11 hours and 35 minutes (total time) - 4 levels and 43 minutes (tourney time). Blinds started at 15k/30k/4k, and the average stack was 57.75BB. At the end of the day, blinds were 40k/80k/10k.

Today, they need to go from 64 to 27. Blinds start at 25k/50k/5k, and the average stack will be approximately 61BB. During the 5th level today, blinds will be at 60k/120k/15k.

Seems to me that they should be able to get to 27 within 5 levels today.

I agree that tomorrow will be a marathon. Last year it was a 15 hour day (total time) before Hamrick was eliminated.

How about a little love for Dennis Phillips? If he makes the final table, that would be amazing.

Agreed, he has been 10 times the ambassador than Peter Eastgate has!

Go Dennis!

Why the hell is Eastgate in those big name pro lists? He hasnt earned enough credit yet imo.

quote from doyle's blog:

I’m resting for a couple of days now because I haven’t had much sleep the last 3 days. We play from 5 o’ clock until 3a.m. and start back at 2 o’ clock the next day. By the time you bag your chips and drive home, it’s 4 a.m. and it takes me an hour or so to get to sleep. I had to get up at 9 the next morning for a photo shoot for USA Today with Peter Eastgate, the reigning champion of the WSOP. I have a pet peeve about being on time so I climbed out of bed swearing never to do an interview or photo shoot in the morning again. When I arrived at the Rio 10 minutes early, Mr.Eastgate wasn’t there. I waited for an hour and then left. Eastgate came sometime after I left but I didn’t go back. To me, when someone is that late and don’t have a good excuse, it’s like saying their time is more valuable than yours. Peter seems like a nice kid but his on my chit list now.

What a douche!!!!

table 2 is STACKED. So many chips on that table its nuts.

Sucks for Ivey that Shulman has position on him with a deep stack

The beats in the updates look ugly. Ivey is getting absolutely chopped up. JJ losing to Q6? Ugh. Or Lamb's AA losing to J9. Sick. Looks like a we'll get a final table well equipped with the latest in luckboxes.

There isn't a radio feed for today.

The 2+2 cashes list is on suspension until after the WSOP, I got caught up with a lot of WSOP stuff, hopefully in the next week I'll be able to get that more attention.

Cmon Ivey? Forget about Ivey.
If Ivey wins he will bunker down as always and not do much for promoting the game.
I say lets go Mr. Moon. This guy will bring the poker rooms a lot of attention and fish.
