The Brasilia room is down the hall from Amazon. The biggest convention space is Amazon ... the smaller convention spaces are called Brasilia and Miranda.

Plus, if they get enough entries on any given day, they'll put tables out in the hallway and maybe even outside of the permanent poker room.

Is there another thread with discussion of the Main Event or is the interest that bad right now? Usually threads like this are in the 5 - 10 page levels and so far nothing

FYI, from an email from Harrah's:

Quote:
Media: Please help us alert any potential WSOP players that there is a good chance Main Event Day 1D tomorrow may reach capacity. Seating is limited and first come first serve and once all available seats are sold, the tournament officially closes. Players are encouraged to get to the Rio as soon as possible if they intend to play in the Main Event.

Dunno, but it definitely sounds possible. Hopefully they'll fill as many tables as they can 9-handed and stop the cash games for a few hours.

Day 1d entrants - FIXED

Both Dunst and Galfond played today, and they're both out of the tournament.

What's with the payout structure?

http://www.pokernews.com/wsop/2009/event-57/payouts/

$370k jump from 10th to 9th, then only $37k more for 8th, just another $100k bump for 7th. 6th place only pays $300k more than 9th. Isn't this much, much flatter than in previous years?
