Hi

I’ve been looking at this year’s results for the daily deepstacks, and it appears that the number of entrants is hugely reduced from previous years. The 1pm job is picking up a few hundred runners each day, whereas in previous years you’d get over a thousand

The weekly HORSE and Seniors events are also doing poorly - a hundred or two per tournament.

Has anyone played any of these? Does anybody have a view as to why these tourneys are so badly supported this year?

well firstly attendance is down , which was no surprise.

Also, there is prob a strong correlation between the type of player that played these and the type of player that was more likely to not attend this fall (very casual player, played just a few small events)

Sure, but attendance overall is down 20-30%? Whereas the dailies are down something like 75%. And, with respect, I’m not convinced by your argument as to player profile. Perhaps a more relevant consideration is the absence of foreign players; I suspect that they make up a disproportionate percentage of the usual field in the daily deepstacks. But that’s still not a big enough factor to explain the size of this year’s fields, which have been decimated.

I skipped this year but from what I’ve heard, the lines are horrendous for these. I suspect people see the lines and decide to just play elsewhere.

Yeah, with the inconveniences the small $ events should suffer the most. Just too much of a hassle. For the higher $ events the bargain seems more reasonable.

Early on the cage had mostly beginner cashiers and the lines moved like molasses. I bought 2 STT tickets and it took at least 15 minutes to buy them. To make it worse, they have to enter a bunch of vax info every time a player uses CLEAR as proof of jab. Hopefully things get better as the cashiers get more experience.

But it can also be because the WSOP prepared poorly and didn't/couldn't hire enough people. More than once I saw the STT line being served by only one cashier.

Was there a long wait for these to go off? I was afraid with the staffing shortage these would not be as easy to get into as year's past. Thanks.

It's hit or miss. Sometimes it's only 15 minutes, and sometimes the one you want never goes off and you give up.

Dealer shortage is not as big an issue as player shortage.

The registration process makes it very difficult to play the 250s. The first time I tried to register for the $250 I showed up the night before, waited in line for 90 minutes and then was told I had to register on the day of the tournament. I then tried using Bravo on-line registration. For the second $250 tournament I tried to play, my on-line registriation didn't work and I had to go through the normal registration line. I was told by the security guard at the line this happens all the time. If you have to show up more than an hour in advance because you never know if on-line will work, what's the point? The third $250 I tried to play, the Bravo site didn't list the $250 as an option as of 11 am the day of the tournament so I played Golden Nugget instead. That night I checked the Bravo site and lo and behold, they had the $250 listed -- when? after the tournament started? The numbers on the daily deep stacks are down because Caesars does everything it can to prevent players from playing them!

That’s helpful stuff, Angry, thx very much for the info

Daily Deepstacks have always been this way. Someone has to manually enter the event into the system before you can register. Nobody is up at 3 am to put the event in. Some mornings the person has a hangover and it gets entered later than usual.

One thing that should help the deep stacks though is not having to wear a mask while playing. Where as you do at other Vegas properties
