I know the normal thing to do is book the room and have it chNged when u get there but I want to avoid any surprises
From what I understand, the Terrace is the hotel that is blocked off for the WSOP Rates. I am not sure though if they book you at the Veranda what they would charge. I would double check when booking with them but I do know they told me the Terrace is where the poker players would be blocked off.

Anyone have an estimate on number of players for Event 1? Last years numbers available?

Thanks

I am figuring in over 1k people in event #1 based on last years results and the good turnout at Choctaw. I do not want to stand in line the morning of to register. I will be there Thursday evening so I will be starting on day 1b. What time is registration open until on Thursday evening so I can sign up then instead of Friday morning?

The structure sheets are now posted on WSOP website and there still appears to be errors. According to the sheets Event #2 and #3 start at the same time on Feb 4th. On the WSOP schedule, #3 should start at 5pm. Also Event #5 is on Feb 6th on the schedule, but Feb 8th on the structure sheet. Anyone know which source to believe?
Thanks

Maybe this is a stupid question but I've never played a Heads-Up Event. Can someone please explain what the structure sheet for Event #8 means when it states, "Players may receive a free add-on of $5,000 in Chips, anytime during a match except when a hand is in progress."

You are basically starting a match with 10k in chips. You start with 5k on the table and if you choose you put the other 5k on the table whenever you want. You could start with all 10k on the table if you want. It is a strategy decision. If you take a bad beat or get hit with a cooler you have the option to add that other 5k on. You can not put it on the table in the middle of the hand for obvious reasons. Hope that answers your question.

+1, also this is only for the 1st round. From round 2 until the end they just give you your starting stack w/o a choice of whether or not to addon.

Curious about the cap... the structure sheet says its capped at 256 http://www.wsop.com/2011/structuresh...ctures_854.pdf but just saw Jimmy says 512... somethings gotta give

Jimmy is running the tourney so listen to him, but if like at Choctaw only about 180 played it and that draws from DFW expect Tunica to be smaller.
