Will any of the locals please ask one of the poker supervisors if there is a way around this?
Try doing it the old fashioned way by telephone. That might even bypass computer 7 day limit.

Can confirm that you can book them by phone, is irritating that online blocks you if you are checking out and in the same day, even at diff properties

I assume Event #2 on Saturday, 2/4 is a 2-day event. Does anyone know the restart time on Sunday?

Also, any estimates on how long Day 2 will last?

If memory serves me, the re-start is at 2pm the following day (Sunday). Not too sure how long they last, though. Tex will probably know better than I.

Restarts are generally 2 pm and can be over in 4-5 hours or 12 hours each one is different.

Jimmy Sommerfield really needs to find a way to implement online registration. I hate the lines in Tunica especially for the first event and the weekend events. I usually can't make it until noon the day of so it sucks. Jimmy, you have a good machine going, but that's one improvement that needs to be made.

Online registration and comps if any are not under Jimmy's control. The casino determines these.

I'm sure he has a little clout there or could bring this issue to the forefront. I'm worried about showing up for Day 1B and either being an alternate, being shutout, or waiting in line for an hour.

If you allow online registration, you may even end up with a little bit of dead money.

You may have to wait in line a little but its very unlikely that there will be any alternates or shut outs, last year everyone who wanted a seat got one without question as I recall.

I can't remember. Do they have big screens with sports on, similar to Hammond. The reason I ask is I'm thinking of playing a event that would be during the Superbowl.

Thinking of just staying at Gold Strike. How far of drive is it to Harrahs from there? Thanks.

Ballpark guess 3 miles. There is a shuttle from the Horseshoe (next door to the Strike) to Harrahs that runs until either 12 midnight or 1am.

Thanks. Seems like Harrahs is only giving poker room rates if you play the tourneys and Ill be there more for the cash games, might not play a tourney at all.

There are no room limits just book at normal rate then show your tourney receipt and the rate will adjusted for the entire stay.

Will the cash games spread pretty evenly at the Goldstrike, Harrahs and the Horseshoe? Or will all the action center around Harrahs?

I figured. I'll just be looking for some 1-2 NL action, which I guess I will find everywhere.

Goldstrike 1/2 no cap on buy in, Samstown 1/3 no cap on buy in, Harrahs and Horseshoe 1/3 $300 cap on buy in. Don't bother with Hollywood as they rarely have a game other than 3/6 limit.
