Is it possible to pre register for the circuit events online or by wire transfer? If so, does anyone have a link or information on how to go about this? Although I didn't put a ton of effort into it, I couldn't find an answer on the WSOP website anywhere. (only for the 2011 events)

Thanks.

Never have been able to in the past and no one at the casino thinks it will be allowed this year.

Tex,

Which tournaments do you think will have the largest turnouts? Obviously excluding the Main Event.

IMO the re-entry $345 will probably draw 1100 and the next largest field would probably be event 3 the noon $345 on Sunday.

You don't think there'll be more in the reentry tex? Last year the first $345 fielded 1100 and it wasn't even a reentry, figured maybe we could get 1500 or something this time but maybe I'm overestimating.

Either way I'm already starting to sweat February, don't get many chances like this in Tunica, that's why I'm playing a bunch of events!

I'm getting old and forgetful but I thought the largest event had about 800 last year down from 900 the year before. So I was basing 1100 on the 800 number.

Tex,
Do you know if event #2 is a re-entry event or is this a typo on the WSOP schedule.
Thanks,
MK

If anyone is interested I received this information from Harrahs Tunica...

We do offer a poker rate of $30 Sun-Thu and $60 Fri & Sat. In order to qualify for this rate we simply ask that you play a minimum of five hours (average) of live action poker for each day you receive the poker rate.

I heard that this will also be the rate for the tourney and like last year book your room and then take a tourney entry receipt to the hotel desk and they will change your rate to this if it is higher for your stay.

What is there to do outside the casino, besides go to the other casino, or the other casino?

Man I'll be honest there isnt anything to do in Tunica other than gamble.. there is a little shopping mall that is a complete joke, really old stores that aren't that great.

Perhaps the most entertaining thing to do is to go to Memphis and get some good food and go to Beale street or something, that's about 30-40 minutes away.

Besides the outlet mall there are 1st class golf courses and skeet shooting. If you like doing them in cold weather. Anything else you have to go to Memphis

You can go over to the back of Fitzgerald's Casino and look at the river. It is big and muddy.

Do decent cash games run at the other casinos during the circuit event? I'm probably staying at the Goldstrike and don't want to have to go further than the Goldstrike or the Horeshoe to find cash games when I'm not playing tournaments.

I mean there will definitely be a decent amount of cash games running at the shoe depending on how high you wanna play, but there is gonna be a massive amount of cash at Harrah's with some plo mixed in and stuff like that, it just depends on what you wanna play.

If your saying you wanna be able to play some 1/3 nl or 4/8 omaha8 then yeah you will be fine at the shoe or goldstrike.

Both the Shoe and the Strike will have plenty of games the biggest difference is that the Shoe caps the buy-in's where as the Strike does not cap buy-ins.
