WSOP Circuit: Tunica. MS FEB 2012 - Page 3 - WSOP and Tournament Circut

Hey BigTex,

It looks like this will be the next tourney I play as my work is insanely busy and the timinig of this just happens to work out. I haven't been to Tunica since around 2006 or 2007 and I stayed at the Goldstrike back then because I was doing WPT tourneys. So for this WSOPC thing, I was thinking of staying at the Shoe since it was a super nice place to play table games in my poker down time. With that in mind, do you happen to know if Harrahs still runs a shuttle from the Shoe to the Harrash casino where the WSOPC tourneys are played? (and if if runs late into the night while the series is running)

They still run a shuttle between ceasars properties but I think it stops around midnight or 1 am and in the past they did not extend the hours for the tourney kinda of stupid not to but the Rio didn't even extend their shuttle hours during the wsop and God knows Ceasars is not going to spend a dime extra to pay drivers for extra hours for poker players. And in reality there is no cab service either since there is only one cab in Tunica and he works when he feels like it.

Ahhhhhh. I see now. I guess I could just stay at one of the other properties then... and just use the shuttle to the Shoes during the daylight hours when I bust from a tourney early. lol

You got it girl just stay at one of the 3 harrahs hotels at that property and take the shuttle to the Shoe and return to harrahs before the shuttle shuts down or tell the poker room floor and they will help get you a ride it might be with an old man like me but I've been known to be a taxi service and give a pretty girl transportation to Harrahs on my way home.

Looking forward to seeing the improvements based on Bossier City. I can at least dream about coming out for the entire series because the very reasonable hotel rates make that possible. Airline rates from NC for non-stops to Memphis are anohter story so I'd like to start watching for an airfare sale.

Try flying into Little Rock - Southwest will usually keep the rates lower. You will need a rental car anyways.

Yeah its mostly the fact that SW serves the airports that helps keep the other airlines in check. Sometimes I can save up to $400 a flight just by hitting Little Rock or Nashville.

What's up with event #2? It says its a re-entry event meaning having a 1a and 1b, yet it says it's only a 2 day event, typo?

Re-entry event. Players eliminated in 2A may re-enter in 2B.

Also I'm a little confused on the main event, so both 1a and 1b are on the same day? One at 12pm and one at 7pm?
