If anyone is looking for a roomate to share hotel costs with feel fee to message me. I will be arriving the night of the 7th and staying till the 11th. I am a very clean and neat with the room and I don't spend much time in room anyways. I go to the gym in the mornings and I play cash games if I bust out of mtt till it's time to sleep. I will have my suv with me, so I can offer rides to mtt if you don't have a car there.

Anyone have any idea how the blind structures are? I'm just curious. I may be heading up with some friends and play in a couple of events.

Gypsie - If they're anything like the circuit events from last year, they'll start with between 10-20k in chips depending on buy-in and blinds will be 30-40 minutes on Day 1 starting at 25/25. The structures were sickeningly good for WSOP-C last year, don't see any reason that'll change now.

For the Main Event, how are they having Day 1A and 1B on the same day - one at 11am and one at 7pm? Will 1A just play from 11am until 7pm, stop for the day, then come back on day 2?

Here is a structure sheet for the $345's from last year that were standardized at all stops. It's my understanding that they will be very similar this year

Sorry for the individualized question, but is it possible to walk from Diamond Jacks to the Horseshoe? Or is there a shuttle? A cab would only be a couple of bucks, but just wondering. Thanks!

You could....I wouldn't. It's within eye sight but it's probably 1/2+ mile. I would NOT make that walk at night, just because it's fairly dark walk with nothing but some big parking lots and a road. I would never advise that. During the day, I'd see no problem, but trust me, it's going to be hot and you wouldn't want to walk it.

A cab will cost you $5-$6 (think meter starts at $4-$5). The problem is, on busy weekends, cabs in Shreveport/Bossier are knows to take forever after you call them. And if you don't call them, you might not see one. There are alot of cabs and cab companies in town but they get overwhelmed fast. I've found that the shuttles are 10x faster and cheaper for 1-2 people. Only problem is most shuttles stop running by midnight or so.

I will be staying at the el dorado hotel and casino the 9th thru the 11th and will have my own transportation. If anyone needs to stay on the shreveport side of the river and needs a ride I may be able to help.

Wow, just realized that if you arrive on Thursday morning and play through Sunday, you can play in 6 ring events (if you count the two different opps to play in the reentry).
This is fantastic! Helps to reduce variance a little and gives you more value for whatever the travel costs would be.
Well done for the players and obv well done for more profits for WSOP Circuit.

Just wanted to clarify that my rooms are full but would be willing to help get someone that is staying at El Dorado, Samstown, or one of the downtown Shreveport hotels back and forth across the river to the Horseshoe Bossier if they didn't want to rely on the shuttle or a cab. As someone else stated here on weekends the cab service can take a looooooong time.

I hope they follow through with that. They used to do that all the time (not just for poker players) and we got some great rates are nearby hotels but they stopped last year. Every once in awhile they will have a few rooms somewhere but not too often. They will however, often try to put you up at the new Marriott Springhill Suites at racetrack since it's a Harrah's property. The only problem with that is it's 7 miles away down I-20 and cab rides are going to be very expensive. There is a Harrah's shuttle but I'm not sure how late they run back and forth and it's a pretty long wait since it's 10-12 minutes each way without weekend traffic.

I know Jimmy knows this and probably has no control, but if anyone in local management is railing this thread--- This is critical especially weekends to create massive - choctaw like turnouts. A lot of us from DFW never go over there to play on weekends because the room rates even at the medium quality hotels are just ridiculous.

Only 9 levels x 40 minutes on day 1? A 3 day event where the 1st day is only 6 hours of play...

Comparing the first 9 levels from last year's ME, it actually is a worse structure since it skips a level. (250/500/50). Just does not seem like that great of a structure for a $1600.

Pretty disappointed.

I too am disappointed as I don't see how they can go from playing 16 levels the first day down to 6 and manage to get to the final table end of day 2 unless they cut more levels, starting chips, level time (not increasing to 60-75 minutes) or all of these. Jimmy give us an answer just how bad did the structure get inorder for wsopc to make it a reentry for the purpose of increasing the rake. Please tell me I am wrong and the structure was not butchered. And since they changed the main event what are other events structures going to be changed to?

Also, don't nec agree with your extra rake theory... Come back as a new player also adds money to prize pool . So the % of rake to prize pool is the same. I would personally prefer the re-entry as it would increase my prize pool. Your thinking tells me that you would like to have a 15 player tnmt because the house would make less?

Im just gonna have to bust your azz in Tunica on Saturday!!!!
