I agree! I had jj once lost big against Dennis' 8's, so he says....
The only other pair was 77 and AQ twice. It was just a hang on tourney.

We have plenty of time to get another ring with this group!

If you need a break from the casino and have a car, then check out Herby K's for local "fried food" po-boys and Superior Steakhouse on Line Ave, for a good meal.

Monjuni's for decent Italian..

Ok see everyone Tuesday.

I agree some of the worst players I have ever seen. But also the luckest.

There are times that the free valet is reserved for Diamond and Seven Stars. Usually on the weekends and special events.

Really impressed with the turnout. Played the 7pm last night and finished 7th (not so thinly veiled brag). I wish I didn't have to work everyday and could play some of the ring events. Next year I will take a week off. Need a limit holdem event and it would really round out the schedule.

Well wish me luck ladies and gents... dodged a lot of hand grenades on getting to the final 16 for ring event #6. You can follow me via @pikachar or come find me (I'll be in the bears hat still). Might just have to get some po-boys when I'm done this afternoon!

See you at the tables

Cashed 31st in the noon event on Monday. Before the 6 handed tourney today, I decided to play 1-3 for a bit and ended up getting a bad beat jackpot tableshare for roughly 900..I hope I can make another deep run today..gl everyone

Finished 35th on Sunday and 10 from the money on Monday. 6 man had over 200 players and knocked out early on two hands in a row. Flopped trips can't beat a turned gut shot and sb 88 can't beat bb 77 all in pre when it flops that dreaded 7.

Can't complain about 2 and 4 outers though. It just means you're playing good poker and others are getting lucky.

See you guys Wednesday at the $555 tourney.

Every time I go around it on Monday and Thursday tournaments they have a big sign up that says for Diamond and Seven Stars only. I'm a diamond member so it's no big deal for me, but only place I've seen that does that.

I wish they would give our poker room more power to comp guys and give poker room rates too. Trust me, if Richard could do something about it he would. Great guy and does the best he can to help players out.

Thanks Landman! I do my best. There's rumors of a new hotel tower coming in the next couple of years. If this is true, hopefully it will give us enough rooms to have a poker rate!

Hey did a great run, currently checking out of my hotel... If you guys ever do see the camera man let him know to e-mail one of those pics to @wsopc (forgot his name, but he's the one in the back with the laptop) of me with the bears hat for the wsop database! Just had 3 wicked bad beats in Ring Event 6, PLO and the 120... both involved PP's beating better hands, but hey that's poker!

See you all at hammond,
SGT John "@pikachar" Devine...

PS I'll follow all you guys who I've met from this event! Just message me!

Shoe here it cannot compare to the Shoe in Tunica, Lisa Crompton the poker manager still runs it like Jack Binion did $45 poker rate rooms, $1.00 an hour comps but will feed you just for asking for a meal and it does not come out of your comp balance
Speaking of which...Lisa is awesome and she hooked us up with great room rates during this year's WPO and we were fed like kings as always. HOWEVER, the 3 of us that went to Tunica all had big comp balances from getting our $1/hr here in Bossier. I personally had about $100 on my card. By day 4....$0. They took every single dollar off of every one of our cards. We never used the cards for any other comp redemptions etc.

Not griping too much because we did get free food but basically we just used all of our comp dollars to get it.

I've seen alot of tournament talk and a few people ask about cash games, so I'll chime in there. If you haven't made it to town yet and are curious about the cash games, maybe this will help a little.

I was in town Thursday-Sunday and only played one tourney and spent every other waking our in the main poker room. I'll be back on Thursday to spend a couple more nights and play cash games.

For those of us familiar with the room and the normal action, everyone will attest the room hasn't seen this much nonstop action in...well since I've been playing. Heard an old reg ask another old reg...."How long before you think we will see this room this packed for this long?" He replied, "Next year's WSOP."lol

The cash games have been great. Everything from $4/8 up to the $25/50 PLO/NLHE game, have all looked really juicy. I played a little $4/8, some $1/3NL and several long sessions of $5/10 O8. One day we ran it all day with a full kill which made the game alot of fun. Every day I was there I saw a big selection of games for just the 14 tables in the main room. $4/8, $20/40, $1/3, $2/5, $5/10, $2/5 PLO, $2/5 PLO8, $5/10 PLO, $25/$50 PLO/NLHE and a few other games mixed in at times. Tons of tourists with WSOP gear they just walked out of the gift shop with and it seemed like I couldn't walk across the casino floor without hearing someone talking about poker or telling a bad beat story.

From what I've seen, my one tournament and my cash game hours played, this event has been pulled off beautifully. Richard and the gang have done a super job. Hats off to them. I've seen a few issues that could be addressed but I don't see any reason in vetting them here. Plus everything has been overwhelming good and the turnout is even bigger than I expected.

That seems to be floor dependant some of them do take it off your comp balance and some don't just like everything else about Ceasars hardly nothing is standard, they never use my comps for food after I threw a fit to Lisa. And you don't pay $8 for hamburger there

OMG, I wanted to play cash downstairs.... the wait was killing me, I ended up busting on someone hitting quads today in PLO at 5pm. And the miracle flop at 7pm killed me (c'mon dealer 3 3's... lol). We all got bad beats in this series, but hey I scored 12th today in Ring event 6, so I finally got some corporate backing now! (can you say being staked is 10x better).

I'm half tempted to put a WSOPC BC COTW together for bad beats... I've heard all of them, and most of them are due to one key thing...

When I say floor I mean the poker room floor not just any floor in the casino or using the kiosk to get a comp ticket.

Bob - I thought I called it right when I said by the start of WSOPC the average daily temps would be 85-90 and opening weekend wasn't too bad, but the last few days it's been over 100. This is the hottest September I've ever seen. The good news is, the temps drop tomorrow and will be fine for the rest of the event. I'm thinking next year, we go for late September/early October on the schedule.
