If I read the re-entry info on the structure sheets correctly, you are allowed one re-entry on the second day if you busted out of the first day. I.e. This is not like a rebuy, this is a come back tomorrow and start over with the second half of the field. Is this correct?

Where did the structure sheets and the list of games go? I looked and couldn't find it in the forum? Also, Jimmy, the Thursday noon $355 will there be late registration for that tournament as well?

Unless Jimmy changes it from last year noon events had until the first break to register (2 hours). Structure sheets are post #75.

Thx Bigtex. I was actually going to book value place because I was going to travel alone, but since two friends are now joining me. I guess I can upgrade to the Hilton and split the cost 3 ways : )
But good to know about value place, prolly only a matter of time before I stay there.
Cheers,
Enrique

Really looking forward to the WSOP-C in Shreveport/Bossier. Was there for the 4th and the poker was good. These tourneys' should bring out the masses.

They are not guarantees. But I would venture to guess that event #2 will be 900+ and the rest averaging 400+.

I'm excited but concerned about the cash games, since that's mainly what I'm going for. I've heard it from two dealers now and they are under the impression that there will be NO cash games on the roof top tables, meaning all cash games will all be in the main poker room. The problem with that is, most Friday and Saturday nights all 14 tables are full and even on Thursdays having 10-12 running is pretty common. So bring in all these other poker players to a poker room that fills every table most normal weekends and it seems to me like there are going to be lists 40 people deep.

I was hoping for over flow cash game tables on the roof and that would allow for some other "non-regular" games to be spread ($10/20 limit, some O8 limit, bigger PLO games etc). $1/3. $2/5 and $4/8 and $20/40 limit are the regular games there with the occasional small PLO game or $4/8 O8 game. But with that many people trying to play, I can't see how they could spread much more than the normal NL games and $4/8. There won't be an empty table in the house.

I hope I'm wrong about this, but I'm just imagining a room full of $1/3, $2/5 and $4/8 as usual but with very long lists. I can't see them moving out slot machines and putting up more cash tables outside of the poker room...but that would be nice!

So the WSOP event will be played on the "boat" and not in the ballroom of the hotel?

Tex is correct. From what I understand the state will not allow them to set up the tables in the Riverdome since it is not on the boat, it's on dry land.

Gotta be honest this venue is beginning to scare me. Played on a rooftop tent and very few cash games. Added cash tables need to be put in place or I'm most likely out.

I'm not scared of the rooftop tent. It's supposed to be hard sided walls, carpet and AC. I was up there for the New Year's Eve party and they didn't have hard wall tents, just normal soft sided and it was about 30 degrees. They did an excellent job and had some huge heaters running and it was really pretty nice and wasn't anywhere near what the setup will be for the WSOP. The Horseshoe in Bossier seems to do everything 1st class, I've got no worries about the rooftop tent.

As for the cash games, I got more info (for what it's worth) last night from a floorman at the Shoe. He says they WILL use the rooftop tables for cash tables as tourney tables break. I hope this info is correct and I'm betting it is because it makes the most sense of anything I've heard yet. If that info isn't right, don't blame me.

I'm excited and I'll be honest, I think the turn out is going to be big. Everyone I've mentioned it to locally (I'm 1.5 hrs from Shreveport/Bossier) says they are planning on going for at least a night or two, even alot of recreational players who don't play alot in the casino. But you put the name WSOP on the event and it seems to attract alot more people.

It should be a 1st class since I heard they are paying $32,000 just to rent the AC unit. I agree on the turn out if they had the room I think the numbers would be bigger than Choctaw last Jan. since they will draw recreational players from DFW, east Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi plus us tourney junkies that travel most everywhere.
