Jimmy give us an answer just how bad did the structure get inorder for wsopc to make it a reentry for the purpose of increasing the rake. Please tell me I am wrong and the structure was not butchered. And since they changed the main event what are other events structures going to be changed to?
Jimmy, you did not answer his question in regards to the other events. What is the structure for those? Thx in advance

Pretty pumped as this will be my first live tournament experience. Only about an hour and a half drive too. Anyone have a guess on how many people the nightly 100+20$'s will get? Maybe from experience of previous circuit stops?

Jimmy in 2 day events can you play both 1A and 1B and then use your highest chip count when the days merge?

I know this is going to be a smaller event than some of the circuit events, but I'm curious what kind of turn out could be expected for the $200-$300 Omaha events that will be on Monday-Wednesday?

Northeast. From a small town called Hughes Springs. It's about 35 miles north of Longview.

Jimmy you are gonna have to wait awhile on beating me doctor today said no poker tourneys for a few days. Sitting that long could cause blood clots. Will probably drop by to say hi to everyone though.

I was there last night and they said they will probably have some rooms at the MicroTel for $69. Said they would make an announcement when everything got buckled down.

I had a buddy over there last night and he said a dealer told him that the only cash games will be in their regular room. He claimed the state will not allow them to have cash games on the roof. I find that hard to believe since my wife and I had tickets to the New Year's Eve roof top party and they had blackjack tables up there. It seems to me gambling is gambling....a tournament is still gambling by LA laws.

This morning I sent a text to a friend who's a dealer there and asked her and she said she doesn't know because they haven't told them much, other than the reg. dealers will not be dealing the tourneys and will be dealing cash games only.

Anyone have any idea about this?

Jimmy,

I'll be honest, I thought the WSOPC prelim structures were superior to the main event structure last season. The one used for the main in Council Bluffs was really strong, but the one you guys changed over to was brutal. If you would just use the prelim structure from last year, (starting at 30 min levels at 25/25), and start with 20k in chips, it would be an outstanding structure. But it sounds as though we may have some unpleasant surprises for this year.

I agree with you on this Jody the Council Bluffs structure was great but only used there unfortunately. I too like the prilim structures they could use them with 20K starting chips and 40 minutes instead of 30 minutes and it would be a very player friendly event. And I don't like 12 ring events in 12 days. You lose out playing many of the events because you are still playing in one especially having 2 on the same day. I wish they would go head and post the events with the structures so we could make plans. I maybe a stupid old man but I just don't see how you can go from playing 16 levels in the first day down to 6, merge the days and still get to the final table on the second day without butchering last years structure. Jimmy, Steve, Jack somebody please post it after all what are you all waiting on the first stop is just a few weeks away.

If you go to the microtel bossier city website, you can book a room for less than 69 dollars per night, so if they will have a WSOP C code, they will have to do better than that : )

Never said we would get down to final table on day 2. I said longer day two and day three. Might have 27 players come back. We will play levels not nec down to the final table. Patience. Remember I'm still on vacation for two more days.

Just bored from having to sit at home while tourneys are going on 15 minutes away from me. And I'm old and sit in my ways just get used to something and you go and change it. Worse than my wife changing furniture, just when I get it broke in she thinks it is wore out and replaces it.
