WSOP is on the way! World Series of Poker Satellite Event is returning August 12th through 23rd! Over $1.5 Million in Guarantees! Mega-Satellites into the WSOP $10K Main Event in Las Vegas! Tournaments ranging from $80 to $1,700 throughout the Event.

Check back over the next month for more details.

From the Bravo website. Looks like a Circuit event!

Very conservative on those guarantees. This thing is gonna be massive.

I predict >2k entries for the $400 multiflight and ~1500 for the Main.

Has anyone actually confirmed that this will be a circuit/ award rings? The published schedule only says that it’s a WSOP satellite event. IE they’re having main event satellites a few days. No where does it list any other kind of WSOP branding, such as circuit points, rings, etc.

It’s kind of confusingly worded so that it seems like a normal circuit stop, but the WSOP relation might begin and end at the main event satellites. Anyone have any information on this? The room’s bravo just says to check back later.

Somewhat curious about this as well, calling the whole series a "satellite event" on the schedule they published seems a little strange. Is the WSOP even doing a live circuit this year given the online circuit and the Vegas WSOP in the fall? Would be curious if anyone knows or has any insight.

Hey - this starts today I think. Anyone there that can provide a factual (i.e. non-politicized) update? I'm really on the fence of going next week or not due to the Delta variant. Masks? plexi? personal hygiene? Bonus would be posting a picture or two of the tournament area.

TIA!

+1

Also, I'm interested in whether or not they have a dealer shortage.

I’m not there yet, but will be tomorrow. Heard through the grapevine that event 1 had 500 entries which creates a prize pool 6x the guarantee. Have no info on the safety protocol. Will post something tomorrow when I’m there and can give first hand info.

8 handed, no plexi. Looks like Harrah's Cherokee requires a mask according to their website which is a change from 2 months ago when I visited.
As far as hygiene...it's a bunch of slobs playing cards, so nothing out of the ordinary so masks actually help block the BO and other ungodly smells one experiences in poker.

Everything accurate, including the BO, in last post except tables 9 handed. Turn out looking great. Should meet the guarantee for event 2 before end of flight B

9 Handed, Masks, no plexi. The event center is just as packed as it usually is.

Looks like they got close to 3k entries, 1254 today

I bagged almost 500k last night, blinds will 6k/12k I think, unless an earlier flight got to 5% b4 the end of 5k/10k. Now I just have to channel some more run good for Sunday. Saw a guy literally get DQed from the tourney around midnight, and taken out of the casino by security for being too drunk and belligerent at the table. Don't see that too often. He had a decent stack too

Is there anyone ITT that is in Cherokee and has cash for Venmo or cash app?
Have done many online trades with no issue.
We can meet in the casino. Will give whoever a free 3% sweat. Playing the 3pm $600 and don’t have enough ATM availability.
Thanks

Yeah, he had a top 10 stack at the time. Crazy. Can’t be touching everyone tho.

How'd you end up? As this isn't a circuit stop, there is no info on the WSOP.com website. Is there any info on field size?

It got just under 2900. I finished 27th. 2nd hand after the table redraw I lose half my 13bb stack with ATo v ATo.

Then the next hand I made a tilt shove for my last 7 blinds with K5o from the CO. My chart says K7o is the worse offsuit K, but 2 of the 3 players behind were older ladies (>60) so I have more FE than I normally would. Still probably a pip too loose. The lady in the sb wanted to fold (I think) but made the call with A9o. I flopped a pair but she rivered a straight.

I have a day job so I can't play during the week, but the Main Event next weekend is going to be great. At least 1500 entries, maybe pushing 2k. Finished 15th in the Main back in Dec 2019 when the Circuit was last there.

Its weird this series isn't even listed on Hendon Mob as a current series and no results are recorded anywhere.

If you're not already staying in Cherokee, consider not going out and trying to drive there tonight or tomorrow. Many roads are severely flooded in the area and it's not safe.
