Not sure what the mountains are looking like, but the weather is starting to get nice and NC is very pretty this time of year for anyone coming from where there is still snow on the ground. Some very good golf opportunities in addition to the fishing.

Doesn't have to be poker related. Several golf courses in area.

I will be playing in event#1 at noon on Thursday the 4th. I have a room at the casino for Thursday night only.
So, I would be willing to share my room on Thursday for a share with someone on Friday night. Preferably at the casino.

I'm thinking of playing Event #1, but will need to drive a decent distance the morning of play.

1. How bad are the lines?
2. In case of bad traffic, or long lines, how long does late entry last?
3. Is re-entry allowed in WSOPc events?
4. Any realistic chance it sells out or the field is limited?
5. Any estimates on how late play lasts on day 1 of a 2 day event?

will play ofc, but im a fat boy... don't do well in last longer contests. have room at casino for the 12 or so days, so i will have a place to play. i will be back from Vegas in 4-5 days, will get a firm list together of who all wants to do the points bets then.

am i too late to be asking about CHEAP hotels in and around the casino?

wasn't sure if I was going to make it out there but I see they have some small nightly tourneys and some turbos and stuff I can at least play a few events....

thanks for response. i'm coming from Atlanta so I'm a solid 3 hour drive...little too far away for driving back at night after a long day and then potentially having to drive back again early in the AM.

any other ideas?
im busy right now but I'll check through this thread and do my own search when i get a chance and see if theres anything else.

Maggie Valley has a bunch of hotels and this is off season so they should have lots of rooms open for low rates. Just a short hop over Soco gap to the casino as long as you don't get stuck behind a tourist in a RV you'll be fine. (Plus they have a ABC store right in town if you need booze)

I have the entire series booked inside the casino hotel. If I decide to leave for a few days in the middle or after start of the main, I will offer my room to someone at a fair rate. You can PM me for date and your $ offer but I do request that you also add yourself to the room and place a CC on file in addition to mine. I'll get back to you if it fits my schedule.

Couple more thoughts on series.

Numbers: Events getting closer now interested to hear more predictions. 76 tables total 61 for tournament play per Seth. Event 1 thoughts already at sub 200. My guess for first weekend (obv biggest), Event 2 gets 275-300, Event 5 (reentry) gets 600ish and Main gets 225-250? Any thoughts?

Also anyone with experience, they gonna allow a backpack into casino? Obv newer poker places not accustom to poker players bringing backpacks etc.
