WSOP Circuit Foxwoods (August 17-28 2017) WSOP Circuit Foxwoods (August 17-28 2017)

Four weeks to go till the alleged Circuit event at Foxwoods and there is still no schedule on the WSOP site. Weird. Does the WSOP not want to promote one of their stops?

Here's the schedule on the FW site.

Looks like all the stops this year are finally stepping up and offering guarantees on most/all of the events besides the re-entry and main event. About time! Good to see. But yeah, so silly to me how there is typically so little advanced putting up of schedules. There's no reason they all can't be up 6 months in advance. Every other portion of hotels plans events many months in advance. No idea why poker is always such a rush job.

I think there are typically regulatory issues when it comes to holding poker tourneys which can cause delays in releasing a schedule. That being said, I agree, they usually post schedules later than they need to. And in this case, the schedule is obviously set and probably has been for some time, yet it cannot be found on the WSOP site. They're just dropping the ball, which I suppose has come to be expected from CET.

The schedule is posted on Wsop site after it is sent to them. Place the blame on the TD and or the casino for not sending it to Wsop.

I'd be willing to bet FW is botching things too, but if I were the WSOP and one of my series stops hadn't sent me a schedule yet, one month out, I think I would take action.

I've heard the "regulatory" reasoning before. Why are poker tournaments so heavily regulated? What must be assessed and analyzed that would prevent it from being approved more than 6 months in advance?

Structures have to be accepted by local gaming commissions. They're responsible for making sure the casino is offering a fair game to its patrons.

And if the tourney will be held in a non-standard gaming space, like a convention area, there are usually a lot of logistical issues that need to be ironed out, like electrical, security, etc. A lot goes into holding these major series. They don't just roll out the tables and say "shuffle up and deal". All that being said, I continue to agree that schedules tend to come out a bit later than they ought to.

Do they run any other tournaments aside from the big events and satellite? Also, how are the cash games during this event?

Smaller 365 circuit events if that's what you mean

Cash games are excellent during series

Check out their website , they run a series almost every 30-60 days

Awesome to hear, thanks. Are the 365 events any good? Seems like a pretty hefty rake.

Yeh they are good. But it's wsopc structure and take, not foxwoods

Could be better imo, I'd like a bigger starting stack. But for 365 it's not bad.
