This will probably get lost in the excitement of everything going on in Vegas this summer, but the schedule for the first circuit stop of the season has been released.

Cherokee August 2-13

Still no update on the new rake structure with the updated price points, or the tournament structures themselves AFAIK. Schedule looks about the same as usual for this stop, along with the $10k national championship.

I second this request so ANY help is appreciated!!!
A lot of good looking places but there has to be something that doesn't break the bank for a week that I'm not finding?
Clean, Quiet and a bed is all i need as the rest of the time I will be playing.

Anyone know if there’s a PLO8 or Big O side event on the schedule this time around? From experience there’s always more tournaments listed in the handouts than actually on the WSOP website

Dug up a more detailed schedule with the side events on the Harrah's Cherokee website, here

Hotel wise almost any hotel is in a safe area. They might not be completely renovated, but you won’t have to worry about crime. Many of the motels have decent beds and usually a walk out to the river after a unfortunate bustout.

As for other lodging options. Getting a cabin is always what a group of Us end up doing. You can find a 3 Bdrm w 4 beds for $100~ a night + Tax! Amazing deal. They do book up fast!

I’m going for the Main and would second that if you want to go you’d better book fast - that casino and the surrounding area get a remarkable amount of metro Atlanta slots business from old people who keep the place packed.

The casino is ridiculously expensive, outside hotels are choice or cabins.....but...I’d book right now

I decided to only fire one bullet, and only flopped top pair or better one time in 7 levels( a min raise HU pot where the BB check folded). And I was pretty active in the beginning, so I’m out.

On the rail waiting in the super long cash game line to try to win my money back. Bald guy wearing black WSOP shirt cause I’m a fish.

Damn there are a lot of people here.

Never been to a WSOP Circuit event before. I plan to go to a couple this year.

Do they typically run satellites for the big $1.7k main events?

More are run on the Main weekend, not the 1st one. Most events have a 9am mega for that day’s 11am.

For the Main, usually something like a 4pm and 9pm the night before 1a. Tend to be 9am, 4pm and 9pm day of 1a then a 9am on 1b. 9am and 9pm may be a turbo structure vs the 4pm. Schedule may vary by location with other megas sprinkled in. Sometimes the nightly winner also gets a seat.

Look for the secondary schedule that gets posted that includes the afternoon events (sometimes on venue site, sometimes a PDF on the WSOP schedule page in right corner).
