WSOP 2022 -- Back to Spring/Summer or Sticking with the Fall? WSOP 2022 -- Back to Spring/Summer or Sticking with the Fall?

Anyone know if WSOP plans to go back to Spring/Summer in 2022, or if Fall is going to be a permanent change?

Asked a couple of dealers and a floor boss. Nothing official yet, but 2022 should be summer (May-July). Dealers expect hiring details in Jan.

FWIW, floor boss mentioned that about 30% of "permanent" WSOP staff work in the education field, and this Fall schedule meant most of them could not participate.

Grain of salt should be added, as I have no idea about the source of this claim.

Dealer during the Seniors event said Bally's and Paris are going to merge into one casino and be the host next year, along with the convention center thing they're building behind the high roller.

Merging those casinos doesn't make sense to me; they're already attached, seems like a huge cost in redecoration etc for not much gain. So I'm pretty skeptical.

To be clear, I solicited info about when, not where.

If memory serves, it was Pokernews that mentioned move away from Rio; journalist byline posted, sources named, confusion addressed.

That does sound pretty dumb. What are they gonna do, turn Paris into a generic theme? What's this giant tower for? Oh, it's just a radio antenna. What are all these cobblestones for? Who knows.

El Dorado sure seem like cheapskates to me. Doubtful they'll spend the money to do a major remodel like that.

I also just came back from Las Vegas. What I heard is as the Ballys and Paris are connected properties. 2022 WSOP will be handled by those 2 casinos's . Did not hear about merging them. And it will be back in end of May -June -July
