Massive line for CC verification at the Big 50 this year. Not so smooth.

Apparently you have to verify every year. Not really sure what the purpose is.

It’s 12:15 Vegas time. Got in the CC verification line about 45 minutes ago and I’m almost to the front but the lines a little bit bigger now than when I got in it.

This is why it has been recommended time and again to get it done and over with in the wee hours when there are not tons of people trying to register for events. There are MANY times during a day that there is basically nobody in a line in the rotunda.

Your point is taken, however he’s not talking about registration. He’s talking about CC verification after pre-registration. And I have heard stories of people
Waiting two hours for verification at 2:00am. I think that qualifies as wee hours.

Once the participant completes the online process (including sending in payment) for one or more events, they then only have to show up in the Rio Convention Center "Rotunda Area" WSOP FasTrac Caesars Rewards Desk one hour prior to their event's start, to show proof of identification and have their identity verified. If the method of payment is credit card, the participant must also present the credit card used for the online registration (this must be in the name of the registered player). Once verified, the participant will receive seat assignments and receipts for any and all event(s) this participant has registered for and can proceed to their starting room, table and seat at the participant's leisure.
Do you have to show up one hour prior or can it be after the event starts? I want to play the Colossus but I may not get to Vegas until 30min or so before the event start.

Not the best planning. If you're not in your seat a certain amount of time after start (2 hours? I don't remember) they unregister you.

If it's anything like the Big Fitty, traffic around the Rio is going to be a huge cluster**** at start time, too. Whatever an earlier flight costs, it might be worth it.

Looks like the earliest I can land in Vegas is 2 hours prior. Would it be a better option to register in person?

I couldn't tell you. You want to play the last flight? If you have a fall back to play a later flight that would be good. Last year the colossal looked easy to reg. I didn't play but lines were reasonable. It might be the same this year, or maybe all the buzz over the big Fitty will get people excited and it will have huge crowds also. If I had a working crystal ball I wouldn't have folded that 64 suited that ended up crushing 3 players and my chip stack would be triple what it is.

edit: Look into arriving the night before. I know that entails another room night, flight costs, etc, but at least you won't be stressed about getting in and be rested and ready to play.

Having the Tournament buy in account set up before this event was huge. $3 fee to register whenever I wanted. No lines. Everyone should have signed up for one of these accounts

So yeah i called and they actually recommended i register in person because 'bravo has been messing up'

There's a chance (maybe a small one), that by pre-registering online and getting to the rotunda area only an hour before the event starts, that the line is so long that I can't get my CC verified in time and i get blinded off and my stack picked up.

Thinking i'll fly down the night before

getting a bit confused here, basically if I want to deposit cash, I need to set up a bravo account (done) then get the cage to open a wsop tournament account for me to deposit cash into, which will then show up in my bravo account?

once thats done I can register online via bravo, even for same day events, getting the ticket at the kiosk straight away even, for just a $3 fee?

Flying in two hours before Day 1B Monster due to work Friday and no flights when I get out.

Wondering what the odds are of Day 1B selling out? I want to register online, of course, and figured I could almost trust the "please arrive one hour before start" for the CC Verification line at Rotunda.

What are the odds of that line being three hours and losing my seat, thus getting a refund? Then, if I get a refund and it isn't sold out, can't I late reg anyway?

It sounds like it is worth registering online and hoping the line is maybe two hours and playing 100/200

As long as you are in the verification line two hours after start time, you won’t lose your seat. That’s how they were doing it with the B50.

Seems unlikely the verification line is going to be very long any more. Everyone that's already verified is not going to do it again. Most of the people that need to do it have already done it.

This is what I was thinking.
Day 1B has never made capacity, which seems to be around 6,000 players just by checking the big 50 day 1B,C and D.
4000 players day 1B of Monster seems to be average last few years.

Going to register at the gate when I'm certain my flight is on time, obv.

Posted elsewhere, but...

For those interested in how the CC registrations appear at PHo compared to WSOP...the entries paid by credit card at PHo showed as Bravo Poker followed by their number in Spring (TX).

Entries paid for by credit card at WSOP appeared as Rio Suite Hotel and Casino, also with the Bravo number in Spring.

More importantly to some is that, as expected, the entries made through the Bravo site and printed through FasTrak consoles coded as a Sale in the category of Entertainment- Commercial Sports, Pro Sports Clubs. I used one card at PHo and a different one at WSOP (bonus whoring).

Showing up the day of a mega event may be problematic for some as relates to the verification. I did my WSOP verification the day of the $1500 Stud 8/B and had all of one person in front of me at 1P in the afternoon. Verification at PHo had NOBODY in front of me at roughly 8AM the morning of a Seniors event. One need not wait for the day of an event to get the verification done though. And there was also no problem with the verification process even doing a Bravo registration a few hours before the event. I literally registered online in the cab heading to the Rio and had my email confirmation almost right away (a change from years past) and it was viewable for the verification staff by the time I got into the Rotunda area.

Anyone know if you can do a portion of your buyin with credit card/debit at the cage? Or does it have to be the entire amount? Can do 7500 cash and 2500 debit/credit card for example to buy into main event?

Question from an international person:

Can you wire Rio $ and then have a balance there to use once you show up?

Don't particularly want to bring a ton of cash or somehow withdraw from an American bank.

Is it confirmed we can rebuy if needed from Bravo Live?

If you have a verified card in your profile, then yes, you can rebuy/re-enter using the website and then go to the kiosk to print your tickets.

I pre reg’d online with my Caesars reward card that has my name as Middle Last. My credit card I paid with has First Last. Obviously my ID will have all 3. Will I have any issue getting verified?

I won a main event seat on WSOP.com/nj. Traveling out to Vegas on Tuesday night. Planning on playing day 1C, but may want to late reg around level 3 or 4. Can this be done via the online registration?

Did anyone happen to use their Caesars Rewards Visa (from Comenity Bank) to register for their 2019 WSOP events through Bravo Live? If so, did you get 5X (5 times normal) Rewards Credits for those purchases? The email I got regarding the credit card seems to imply that this would be the case, since you get 5X Rewards Credits for all Caesars Rewards destination purchases and a link directly from that 5X paragraph in the email then lists the WSOP along with the hotels as being included in "Caesars Rewards destinations".

Seems unlikely since the credit card purchases go through Bravo Live, but this sure would make the credit card alot more appealing.

I briefly had the TR card...cleared the bonus in the first month but then they shut it down due to 'too many inquiries' despite the Comenity inquiry being the ONLY one on the report at the time. But I digress...

I was looking for the statement info on the manner in which WSOP events appeared. I am not seeing it right away. The entries at PH appeared as Bravo- PH. However, my recollection from earlier entries at WSOP was that it appeared as a CET sort of line item.

I may have made mention of it in other threads related to credit card payments since some were whining about costs or claiming it would appear as a cash advance. It processed AS a purchase...unfortunately, the card I think I used is not pulling up .pdf statements right now.
