Nightmare registration was a 2 hour line and then 1 hour waiting as an alternate. They canceled the 1:00 and the 4:00 because they had no tables and no dealers. Ran into day 2 of the monster. F'd up

Day 2 of the Monster had almost 3k players. They need to get scientific about how they do their estimates because what they're doing now doesn't work.

Also, being Sunday it seems like they were short-staffed in a lot of places.

BTW, what's the significance of being 8 handed? Is that a thing?

Lots of people like shorter-handed events, both for more room/comfort at the table, and also a more action-based game.

Lesson everyone should have learned by now: set up a verified credit card, a tourney buy-in account, or both, and skip lines and use the kiosks instead for any specialty tourney, especially the lower buy-ins.

I wonder how bad the Colossus is going to be this week. Any guess of how big the field may be?

You just have to sign up the night before in these big field tourneys or do what Black Aces 518 suggests.

I played in the old bowling alley area by the Rio poker room which wasn't bad at all. Only negative is we lost 10 minutes moving over to the main room when they consolidated table.

Yes, 8 handed is great. 10 handed is horrid.
