When is the money normally reached in a 3 day $1,500 tourney? I'm looking at event 66. Have a flight home on Thursday, which is day 2.

Wife would be pissed if I delayed it, but less so if I could at least say I'm in the money.

I love the WSOP but those cash game announcements over the PA system are relentless and make long tournament days in the Pavilion even longer.

I'd almost pay an extra $100+ on my entry fee if I could guarantee not having to be in that room.

The one that has a day 3 today was 9 away from the money after day 1. Bubble either bursts right at the end of the day or very very early on day 2.

I'll be in Vegas on Sunday night. If anyone wants to exchange chips for my btc or eth, send me a PM.

MS down about 5% this year. Less than I thought, but still there seems to be tons of money being thrown around in Vegas this year, so it shouldn't be down at all. Hopefully it returns to the more rec-friendly fri/sat schedule next year.

For NLH, it's not out of the question to hit the money at the end of day 1. Although, from my experiences, usually within the first level of day 2.

Yes, this. I opened a Wells Fargo account as my poker bankroll storage last summer because it was the only national bank located both in my hometown and Vegas and made money transfer and retrieval so much easier.

BTW you don't have to have a "signature card" there, just a debit card.

To the people discussing the security or lack thereof at WSOP, Dnegs showed an explosives detection dog and its handler on his vlog today. The handler made sure to clarify it was not a drug detection dog. That's been a concern of players and conspiracy theorists every year.

TBH, I was of the impression that most banks nowadays had the signature card imaged on their internal servers. I know my small Texas bank was able to just view the image in their Houston branch while the original signature card was in Austin. If that is not the case with the mega-banks as well, then it would be yet another reason for me to avoid them...

Anybody got a view on how many runners will be in the 1pm ($1100) and 8pm ($2175) satellites to the Main Event on Sunday?

Wondering what the norm was for this?

IIRC (I was thankfully watching it on the way through the room and not participating) the 1pm had over 1,000 runners, which means over 100 seats.

And yes, the bubble, pre-h4h was s ***** show.

How many runners?
At what level will people stop jamming blind?
Will there be a candy bracelet for the winner?
10 or 15 minute levels?

So many questions.

Should be a good driver for them though. Great marketing idea.

It'll probably a super turbo. Like the $135 main event satellite. It did say the winner gets $5,000. Top 5 get paid

Anyone give insight on single table satellites vs the Megas for the main event? I was thinking of playing the 565 on Saturday mega? How long do they typically run

Hey guys, couple random Qs.

1) At the WSOP, who has to show first in a showdown? Is it last aggressor or the player who performs the last action (e.g., in position player checks and has to show)?

2) It says you have to bring Total Rewards card to register for an event. Can I just bring my card # or do I need something physical?

3) Any places to grab a decent, light salad at the Rio during the dinner breaks?

Thanks in advance.

2) you need a total rewards card.

3) rio room service has a garden, Caesar and a chicken Cobb salad. Assume it can be got at a restaurant in the hotel too.

If you have problems with losing cards, go to the Total Rewards desk and ask for more than one. I like carrying around backups even though I generally don't degen slots and am unlikely to leave it in a machine. If I pass a players club and there's no line, I like getting another card.

1. River goes check check. Oop shows first. If bet, call. Bettor shows first. Bettor can muck and caller does not need to show to win pot.
