Glad to see him still at it in his early 80's.
Would be fun to see him take down a tournament again. Even a $300 one.

He does very well in the local tournaments and the WSOP/WPT series

Trying to dial in my plan for playing the Main on Saturday. I heard they are down to 44 dealers. I have a two hour drive and would rather not get on the road at 6am if possible. If I show up at noon should I expect to get in easily? What if I wait until after the first break? I don't mind getting in the tournament a few hours late, but do not want to wait until dinner break or later to enter. Any insight from those on site on what to expect Saturday for reg?

Things are really bad here. Severe dealer shortage. They are capping registration and the line forms for late registration, which they also cap. Everyone is cranky...dealers, floor, players. They're also short staffed for wait staff, and food options are limited. If I knew it was going to be like this I would have gone to the SHR instead. Best advice is don't come. Second best advice is get here early and hope you can get a seat.

Just regged for the main. Nobody in line yet. Main starts at noon and they will call us in at a quarter till. I overheard them saying the satellites are now turbos and people were complaining but probably they had to change it due to logistics.

I had to sign up for my players card at the rewards center before they let me register for the tournament. That would have been bad if there was a long line but it’s early enough (9AM) that there wasn’t. There still is zero line but people are starting to trickle in.

There’s a satellite at 10AM that has to be done before noon obviously because that’s when the main starts.

Separate. There are two games of 1/2 NL running and one game of 2/5 that just started. One on the list for 1/2 and nobody waiting for 2/5.

Last night for cash they didn’t have a 5-10 NL but they did have a bunch of 2/5NL, a 2/5 PLO and a 5/10 PLO. Apparently not enough dealers to run the 5/10 PLO and the 5/10 NL so they just went with the PLO probably for the regulars.

They also made it an open event for anyone and lowered the starting stack to 10k. I believe the Senior Championship event started with 20 or 25k.

What they actually did was combine with the seniors even with the 2pm 240.00 into one tournament
