Busto 13th, lost 2 races for a heap, ran A7 v AT blind vs blind, was getting 3-bet every time I was raising light, and finally once we were 6 handed made a pretty-mehish resteal attempt with an aggro player who was waking up with hands all day (he snapped me off and held). Pretty awful day after playing really well (and running really well) Friday and Sunday. Bummer.

When I busted looked like Raymer had chipped down under a million too, GL to him though hope he takes it down.

Also 1-secret-1 finished in the top 20, played really well from what I saw. I think he wants to stay anonymous.

We are leaving here earlier despite having a room reservation for tonight, if any reputable twoplustwoers are here and need a room PM me in the next hour or so.

Mixed emotions about Winstar, I thought the tournament was well run but several of the hotel staff are useless and/or downright rude. I also had one really bad experience with a dealer yesterday but 95% of the poker staff were good people and did their jobs really well.

Overall it's been a great trip. Good to meet several of the twoplustwoers in this thread.

Huge thank you to Dealer-Guy who has been incredibly useful in this thread. I'm sure you dealt me at some point and you probably know who I am and even though I don't know who you are, I'm sure you're one of the 95% of awesome poker staff we came across

GL if any twoplustwoers are still in, impressive run by Greg and it was good to meet him as well (he was one of my early poker idols when I was just getting into the game and I'm still a big fan).

I want to thank everyone who showed up and played. Players make events successful.

To everyone that cashed, congratulations.

If you didn't make the cut, Thanks for showing up and there's always next year. Come back, bring friends with you.

I met 1-secret-1 the other day when he figured out who I am. His identity is safe with me as mine is with him.

He works a job that he could only get off for one day during the week and the weekend. He is the player the tournament was designed for. I know some felt it was too fast but the tournament was designed to fit our area players like 1-secret-1.

I was impressed with the fact that after busting out, he made the long trip to the poker room to find me and thank me personally for the input I provided.

To him and the others who have expressed the same, you are sincerely welcome.

GL to the few still playing and I hope everyone has a safe journey home.

Greg Raymer will probably update with more details later, he has access to the info and I won't see it until the next time I work.

Great run, couple more breaks and Ben could have taken this down...next year, next year...

And overall, a lot smoother run than last year. I still think they need 60m levels and/or 20k starting chips, but other than that, decent tourney. And of course cash games were nice.

What does it matter?

He paid his money and took the same chance that everyone else did.

This may the be first tournament he has ever won, does that mean he s NOT skilled? Again, what does it matter?

if he never played poker before, what would that change?

He was the chip leader at the beginning of Day 3 and won the whole thing.

However much skill the winner has, he WON. He is the 2010 WinStar River Champion and any suggestion that he "luckboxed it" is just sour grapes.

Congrats Khoueng Souvoravong, enjoy the money. Well played sir.

It was nice to meet and play with JackOfSpeed (very cool dude and a heck of player - very good live reads). I also met Dealer-Guy (very humble guy who deserves a ton of credit - and tips ) He does want to remain anonymous, so be nice to all the dealers at Winstar, you never know which one is DG.

I finished 16th after playing pretty well. I got lucky on day-1 when my KK cracked AA, so i can't complain. I was done in by the eventual champ who called my very large 4 bet shove. Is it a bad beat when you get it in behind? AK vs 44

As far as being anonymous... read my WSOP trip report here - I kinda outted myself.

I'll be back next year and hopefully make it a but further.

I'm just curious. Didn't know if the winner was a local Darwin Moon or not. I know last year one of the final tablers was a nice lady who just plays in a bar poker league and doesn't play these kinda tournies. I'm not down playing his accomplishment at all. I wanted some opinions on how he played.

Saturday Day 1C ended at 4k/8k (500 ante, I think?)
Day 2 began at 2k/4k (300 or 400 ante)
Day 3 began with the 6 minutes leftover of the 10k/20k level from Day 2 and then jumped to 12k/24k (2k ante, I think)

He did a few things that suggested to me that he didn't have a ton of live experience, but overall he played good aggro big-stack poker and I'm not surprised to hear he won. Of course he cardracked it, like pretty much everyone, myself included, had to to go deep given the fast structure (e.g. 2nd or 3rd place in chips jammed the nut flush draw on the flop into his top set to make him the chip leader by a ton going into day 2); and I don't think saying that is a slam because it's kind of a prerequisite for final-tabling this. He's 660k richer in any event

i REALLY second the thoughts on the hotel and the staff!!! One of the rudest places i have ever stayed. I hear they are run by totally separate people from the casino and i for one will not stay here again. My recomendation will be drive the 10 min. to gainesville and stay.
