Thanks for posting! Every year, I hope they will add one level to the Megas between 100/200 and 200/400/50 but every year they don't. Of course, the Megas are still pretty great given how clueless the fields are and given the 20k added to the prize pool by WinStar.

My pleasure. Winstar was pretty good about responding to my email within a few days & sending me a structure sheet for the last event I played there (President's Day Main Event, if I remember correctly.)

I like the megas also, as 20% of the field getting seats vs. a soft field is nice.

Loud and clear on that big jump after the 1st break! It definitely starts the push/fold mode for many.

And 20% + 8 spots! GLGL, this is actually the first year I haven't played one of the megas since 2007. Love those things.

River Megas are the best. Won my main seat in the first one and witnessed the same god awful play as I’ve seen for years in them. Ended around 6 with an hour long hand for hand. I had 30K and went to the bar when that s show went down. If you can get over 20k after second break you should be able to coast to a seat.

Any advice on how to come and play some events and cash on a low budget??? Besides sleep in truck!?! Cheap cabins?? Weekly rates hotel?? Spare couch. Any 2+2 ers in the area??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Philip

Flight A of the Monster Stack had 350 runners yesterday.

Anyone ever stayed at the budget host in ??? 13 miles from winstar. At 52 bucks a night it is obviously no 5 star hotel. But sure don't want to get eaten alive by bed bugs and give the bankroll to some crack head. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How long were the cash game wait times for 2/5 & 5/10 last weekend?

There was very little wait for any cash games. I played Friday and Sunday and the monster on Friday had approx. 400 entries and there was very little wait for cash games at any point. Same on Sunday, little to no wait while the monster was wrapping up and mega was going on.

Pretty sure you can pitch a tent there, too.

Dunno if they allow that but if so, they do have a decent shower/toilet building so you could camp with indoor plumbing. Assuming they actually allow camping. RV park might be full this weekend - it does fill up on big weekends and the River series is one of their biggest - call before driving up there with a tent anyway.
